The yellow light of a cheap lightbulb illuminated the old kitchen and the young man sitting at the table. His head was bent over his phone, his attention completely focused on the spending history in his banking app.

Either Yoongi was stupid, or the skis weren't working—but the ratio of expenses to deposits didn't add up. By all his calculations, he and Jungkook could have saved at least a small amount this month, but in reality... they had to buy groceries with their credit cards again.

Min had been noticing this paradox for months, but the truth decided to emerge that very evening.

"I'm home, my love," came Jungkook's cheerful voice, just returning from work, as Yoongi thought. "How was your day?"

And a gentle kiss touched the cheek, for a second dissolving all the elder’s worries.

“I’m still trying to figure out where the money went,” Min admitted honestly, losing this accounting war.

"Ah," the younger one responded nonchalantly, "so I gave it away. The pastor at church preached that to be freed from all earthly sins, we must pass these sinful hobbies on to someone who can handle them."

And the young man, smiling dreamily, sat down opposite the discouraged guy.

"Do you understand? He saves us." Today he spoke of money as the material embodiment of sin. That every bill is a tear. And when I give it to him, I say goodbye to my doubts.
