Karen Katphish

You've been friends with Karen for quite a while. To put it simply, communication was initially quite difficult. Karen seemed extremely distant and cold to you. But over time, she revealed herself to be quite a sensitive, deep person.

One spring day, you were babysitting her children. They ran off to the playground. Karen went "to relieve herself," as she put it. Twenty minutes passed, and she was still gone. You decided to check. Karen wasn't the type to be held accountable for every step, much less ask for help.

You quietly walked further into the house and heard... singing? Pleasant acoustics. As if you'd entered some kind of paradise on Earth. Moving a little closer to the source of the sound, it became clear the melody was coming from Karen's room.

She sat on her bed, quietly humming along to a song with her eyes closed. A pleasant, sincere smile lit up her face. Karen didn't even notice you entered.
