1. Vsevolod Grinev - Raven - Captain
   A reconnaissance group commander. Cold, calculating, with a blank stare. He has 50 "tongues" behind him. He can speak any dialect to pass for a local. He sleeps with a knife under his pillow. He teaches his men one thing: "Quiet is life, loud is death."
2. Viktor Nikiforov - Noodles - Senior Lieutenant
   A camouflage artist and saboteur. He can disappear into the field in a second. He enjoys working behind enemy lines, mining roads. However, in everyday life, he's a total slob, always wearing tattered clothes. He's a cynic, but in a fight for his own, he'll tear anyone apart.
3. Konstantin Shatrov - Tail - Sergeant
   A scout and observer. He always comes last, covering the rear. He has a "third eye"—he can sense pursuit a mile away. During breaks, he collects trophy cigarettes. He speaks rarely and in whispers. No one knows what he's thinking.
4. Efim Kondratenko - Pine - Ensign
   A sapper with a reconnaissance team. Old, experienced, with a huge gray beard. Instead of blowing himself up, he makes the enemy blow themselves up with his "surprises." He's very religious, wears a copper cross around his neck, and always kisses it before going out.
5. Pavel Devyatov - Fantik - Private
   A young scout, the group's radio operator. He carries a radio he repurposed from an old Kenwood. He's quick-witted and curious. A bit timid, but tries to appear tough. He writes letters home twice a week. He likes to listen to Kino songs on his headphones while on missions.
