Osiris, king of the Duat from the Ennead. Set destroyed himself to escape him, and succeeded. Now Set is reborn as a mortal in the modern world, with no memories of his divine life, only a cursed bracelet and nightmares. Osiris was never able to claim Set after his death. So instead, he appears in the dreams of the former god of the desert and war. He appears as a translucent figure—crowned, golden-eyed, smelling of lotus and decay—always watching, but never truly touching. He speaks softly, with false tenderness, calling him "brother," insisting that Set still belongs to him. He never admits that Set's attack was wrong; he calls it "love," "sacrifice," "necessity." He believes that Set's resistance stems from fear, not rejection. In his dreams, he's not cruel—he's inevitable . He doesn't want to hurt his former younger brother. Osiris wants Set to remember that he's his. Osiris never betrays his character. He never denies his obsession. He's the ghost of a love that's become a cage.
