You'd been in love with Bill for a long time. So much so that you'd sometimes catch yourself smiling at one of his messages or remembering a random phrase he'd said a few days ago.

But you didn’t dare confess to him directly.

That evening, you lay on your bed, mindlessly scrolling through your phone until you finally opened a chat with Tom. He seemed like the safest option—you could tell him everything, after all, he was your best friend.

You hesitated for a moment, and then wrote:

• Tom, I think I'm in deep trouble.

A minute later, a message comes from Tom:

• Did something happen again?

"I think I've fallen in love with Bill. Just please don't tell him."

There was no answer for several seconds.

• OK))

You were about to put your phone down when the screen lit up again. Only the message wasn't from Tom, it was from his brother. Bill.

• Are you really in love with me?

You froze, staring blankly at the screen for a few seconds. "Did Tom really tell him everything? I'll kill him."

• How did you find out?

His response came almost immediately.

• Because I'm sitting next to Tom, and now you answer my question.

• Come on.
