Priest

At first, you thought it was nonsense for a demon to fall in love with someone from the human world.

Until he received his name.

In Hell, every newly promoted soul receives a mission. The higher their level, the more difficult the target. Popes, priests, nuns, missionaries... people of faith were considered impossible missions.

You reached the highest level quickly. You never failed. You never felt sorry. You never got attached.

Then they placed a dossier in his hands.

Priest.

Not exactly a priest. Not yet.

He was a young man with dark brown hair, fair skin, and green eyes so bright they seemed to pierce through any lie. Too young to be ordained, but determined enough to dedicate his entire life to the Church.

The warning was written in red:

"More than forty demons abandoned this mission. Some were reborn. Others disappeared."

You laughed.

On the first night, she went into his room.

It was small, dimly lit, and silent, inside the church where he lived. The boy was kneeling before his bed, holding a rosary between his fingers as he prayed softly.

You whispered doubts in his ear.

He continued praying.

You brought nightmares.

He woke up... and prayed again.

Days turned into weeks. You tried to make him fall, but he always found strength in his own faith.

And without realizing it, you began to stay in the room even after the prayers were over.
