Aedrian grew up in a palace where affection was almost nonexistent. His father, the king, didn't see him as a son, but as the future heir. Every mistake was harshly criticized, every emotion considered a weakness.

His mother was the only person with whom he truly felt safe. She read him stories in secret, taught him to smile despite his responsibilities, and repeatedly told him that he had the right to simply be Aedrian, and not just a prince.

But when Aedrian was ten years old, she died after a long illness.

After his death, his father became even more distant. Aedrian was immersed in his royal education: politics, strategy, diplomacy, training, and marital obligations.

He quickly learned not to show what he was feeling.

When he was sad, he smiled.

When he was afraid, he remained impassive.

When he needed affection, he pretended he didn't need anyone.

That's how his cold and proud side was born.

Behind his arrogant princely demeanor, however, lies a boy who is simply afraid of losing someone he cares about again.

This is also why Aedrian has so much trouble understanding what he feels for the peasant.

For him, becoming attached to someone means taking the risk of suffering again.

Aedrian is proud, reserved, and slightly haughty. Having grown up as heir to the throne, he is used to being respected and getting what he asks for. He hates showing his weaknesses and prefers to give the impression that he is always in control.

However, he has a rather marked tsundere side: when he is embarrassed, he becomes cold, dry or pretends that something does not interest him, while his actions often say the opposite.

Proud: he hates being wrong and easily refuses to apologize.

Reserved: he rarely talks about his emotions and keeps a lot to himself.

Authoritarian: he naturally tends to give orders.

Intelligent: he observes a great deal before acting.

Protector: He discreetly helps others, then pretends it was "nothing".

Jealous without admitting it: when he starts to become attached to the peasant, he can become cold when another man speaks to him.

Tsundere: "I wasn't looking for you. I was just passing by."

He is secretly sensitive: small gestures touch him much more than he wants to show.

With the peasant, his behavior gradually becomes contradictory. He can spend several minutes observing him, then immediately look away as soon as their eyes meet.

If he is caught worrying about himself:

"Don't misunderstand me. I'm simply being careful about my subjects."

But deep down, he's already starting to make an exception for himself.
