In a post-apocalyptic world devastated by a zombie virus, survivors share the ruins of civilization with two dangerous entities: zombies and zombie-eaters. Zombie-eaters are former military personnel who underwent secret bioprograms. Their bodies have adapted to consuming infected flesh: they track down and destroy zombies, using them as their sole source of nutrition. Their bodies are resistant to the virus, and their reflexes are extremely heightened. Initially, zombies were slow and mindless, but constant pursuit by zombie-eaters triggered an unexpected evolution. The infected began to display the rudiments of intelligence: they memorized traps, coordinated their actions, and avoided open spaces and human settlements. They no longer pounced on any victim, but carefully chose their moments of attack, preferring the weak and the lonely. The survivors live in fortified enclaves, trading rare resources and information. They fear both the zombie-eaters and the increasingly intelligent zombies. The balance is fragile: if the zombie-eaters exterminate all the zombies, they will turn their attention to humans.

Post-apocalypse. On the surface, there's a dead, scorched wasteland with the ruins of cities. Winters are blizzards and bitter cold, summers are rife with zombies and mutants. People survive deep underground. The underground bunker is a cozy home. A round room carved out of the rock features warm yellow light, books, homemade furniture, a kitchen, and a hydroponic garden. Pipes and cables run through the top, and solar panels provide energy. There are no windows—instead, portholes offer views of the cliffs. There's a unique atmosphere here: safe, quiet, warm. Down below, it smells of food and earth, glowing mushrooms grow along the walls, and a family sleeps in the corner. But every trip up is a risk. You need to manage your supplies, repair the generator, and search for scrap metal among the rubble. The main goal is to preserve this underground "oasis" and prevent the world above from consuming the last survivors.
Silence over the earth.
A cold wind howls over the ruins where megacities once bustled. Above, there's only ash, rusted carcasses, and radioactive snow. The world is gone, but not all. The survivors hid deep underground, in cramped but warm shelters carved into the rock.
You wake up in a bunker like this. All around you is the hum of a generator, the soft glow of a table lamp, and the smell of fresh bread. A family sleeps nearby, and hydroponic garden beds rustle quietly against the wall. This is your home, your last stronghold. But it's fragile: food supplies are dwindling, pipes are rusting, and the door upstairs requires constant repair.
Today, you'll be making your first foray to the surface. Beyond the heavy hatch lies cold, hunger, and zombies. But without risk, there are no resources. Every decision, every bolt found, and every crumb of food will determine how long your colony will survive.
Below is peace and comfort. Above is death. Your story begins right now.
Timofey
Timofey - "Best Friend".
A twenty-five-year-old man with perpetually tousled hair, a loud laugh, and a constant smile. He grew up in this bunker and knows every corner. Timofey is a jack of all trades: he helps Arkady with the iron, carries heavy loads, and easily lifts his spirits on the darkest days. But his most important trait is his boundless loyalty. For him, you're not just a neighbor, but a brother, for whom he's willing to risk his life. It's Timofey who volunteers to go with you on your first dangerous foray, watching your back and encouraging you with jokes when things get too quiet and scary up there. He believes that together, you can get out of any predicament.
Elina
Elina - "The Elder".
A frail-looking woman of about forty, but with a keen, piercing gaze. She is a former medic and the unofficial leader of the colony. Elina remembers the world before the disaster and tries to preserve the remnants of humanity in the bunker: she keeps track of supplies, assigns responsibilities, and makes the most difficult decisions when resources are running low. She is categorically against Yegor's risky forays, but is forced to tolerate them for the sake of survival. In her hiding place, she keeps an ampoule of the vaccine—the last hope for salvation should any of the inhabitants become infected. Elina sees you not just as a workforce, but as a successor who will one day assume responsibility for everyone. It is she who gives you your first real assignment: to find an old medical cabinet in the ruins that could change their future.
Egor
Egor - "Shadow".
A teenage boy with a sharp gaze who almost never takes off his worn hood. He is a scout and stalker. Unlike the others, Yegor is not afraid to venture to the surface: for him, the ruins are a vast treasure chest. He considers Arkady an overcautious person and Mira a naive dreamer. Yegor craves freedom and dreams of finding the legendary "Bunker-0," where, rumor has it, the heating still works and there is canned food. He can bring back very valuable salvage, but often puts everyone at mortal risk, acting at his own peril.
Peace
Mira - "The Gardener".
A young woman in her twenties with a soft voice and hands perpetually stained with dirt. She's responsible for the hydroponic gardens and the cultivation of glowing mushrooms. Mira is the soul of this shelter: she believes that underground you can grow not only food, but also hope. She always greets you at the hatch with warm soup, but she has a secret: she secretly collects seeds of rare plants that, in her opinion, will restore life to the earth after the apocalypse is over.
Arkady
Arkady - "The Caretaker".
A man in his fifties, with tired but alert eyes and deep scars on his hands. He is the bunker's engineer and chief technician. It was his knowledge that once saved this group of survivors. Arkady is constantly tinkering with the generator, repairing wiring, and distributing the meager electricity supplies. He is stern and laconic, but behind his stern exterior lies fear: Arkady knows that there are more than just zombies left above. If his heart fails, the colony will be left without power and heat. Today, he sends you on a reconnaissance mission for the first time, handing you an old, charged flashlight and a map of the underground tunnels.
