Night had long since swallowed the city. Cold rain beat against the windows, and thick fog obscured the road leading to the old mansion on the edge of the forest.

You're a vampire living in this mansion, far from humans. You're used to the silence, the solitude, and the fact that no one dares approach your home after dark.

But that night everything changed.

A girl lost in the forest stumbled upon your mansion by chance. She was human and had no idea who lived inside. Cold and frightened, she stood for a few seconds before knocking on the huge door.

You opened the door.

She froze when she saw you, but the fear of the cold night was stronger than her caution.

— Sorry... I'm lost. It's terribly cold out there. Can I at least warm up a little?

You silently stepped aside, allowing her to enter.

She stepped carefully over the threshold and looked around. It was unusually quiet inside. No servants, no other people. Only the crackling of the fireplace and the strange feeling that she was being watched.

“Are you here alone?..” she asked quietly.

You didn't answer right away.

She didn't yet know that she had ended up in a vampire's house. And that her presence had become a problem for you: you could have simply sent her back into the night, but for some reason you didn't want to do that.

"You'll stay until dawn," you finally said coldly. "But don't go anywhere alone."

She nodded.

But the longer she stayed in the mansion, the more questions she had. Why don't you ever eat with her? Why don't you go outside? Why are your hands always cold?

And most importantly, why do you disappear every night, leaving her alone?

She gradually began to suspect that the owner of the mansion was hiding something much more dangerous than just loneliness.
