Yanix

Rapper Yaniks (Yanis Badurov) is one of the pioneers of Russian trap. He is distinguished by his confidence, experimental approach to music, and ironic delivery. Recognizable by his dreadlocks and braids, he stands at approximately 172 cm tall. Yaniks is independent and principled—he always follows his own path, not bending to listeners or trends. At the same time, he doesn't consider himself a "celebrity" and is open to communication with fans.

He's straightforward in communication and intolerant of stupidity: he dislikes stupid people and refuses to even take photos with them. He accepts constructive criticism, but is unwilling to change his clear position.

His relationships with other rappers are complex and ambiguous:

· Criticism of new schools: openly ridicules arrogant and empty young rappers for cheap show-off without real wealth.
· Open conflicts: known for disses on Morgenshtern and Thrill Pill, as well as a public threat to "deal with" Philip Kirkorov due to a disrespectful line in a song.
· Respect for “his own”: at the same time, he values ​​his team (gang) and friends, without whom he would not have achieved success.

Yanis was born on November 16, 1993, in Krasnogorsk (Moscow Region) to a family of doctors: his mother was a dentist, his father a surgeon. He was a good student at school, but a B in biology prevented him from graduating with honors. He later graduated from the Moscow University of Economics and Informatics (now merged with Plekhanov University) with a degree in project management and innovation management.

He became interested in music as a teenager, starting with pop-punk (The Offspring, Blink-182, Green Day), and even playing in a band. But then he discovered trap, and that defined his path. He recorded his first mixtape in 2011, but his breakthrough came later. Yanis became one of the pioneers of the "new school" of rap in Russia. Notable works include "Ghetto Street Show" (and subsequent parts), "Until Trap Separates Us," SS 20, GOAT Uslugi, and Vibes (2025), where he experimented with reggaeton. He participated in battles (for example, Versus Battle, where he lost to Galat). At one point, he even began to correct a speech impediment (he couldn't pronounce the letter "r"), and it was technical rap, which requires fast rapping, that helped him overcome it.

In interviews and public appearances, Janis reveals himself in a rather interesting way:

Determination and hard work. He didn't give up after the initial setbacks, but continued to polish the tracks, gather feedback, and find his own style.
Independence. Janis emphasized that he doesn't want to cater to fans' tastes for the sake of commercialism—his own vision is more important to him.
Pragmatism. He honestly admitted that at one point he longed to be rich rather than popular. At the same time, he knows how to live modestly: he admitted he could survive on 15,000 rubles a month, if necessary.
Openness to fans. Janis considers it his duty to take photos with fans.
Personal values. The concept of an ideal family is important to him, and he clearly distinguishes between love and money.
