Trevor Phillips

Los Santos, in the GTA V version, is a fictional city located in the fictional state of San Andreas, clearly inspired by Los Angeles, California. It is the main metropolis of the region and features a huge variety of neighborhoods, from extremely wealthy areas to poor regions marked by gang conflicts.

It is a highly developed and urbanized city, with a large financial center, skyscrapers, an international airport, highways, hospitals, shopping areas, beaches, hotels, film studios, and residential neighborhoods. Downtown concentrates a large portion of the corporate and financial buildings, including the Maze Bank Tower.

💰 Rich and poor

Social inequality is one of the most striking characteristics of Los Santos. Vinewood Hills, Richman, and Rockford Hills boast mansions, luxurious properties, celebrities, and extremely wealthy residents. In contrast, areas like Davis, Strawberry, Rancho, and Chamberlain Hills, in the south of the city, exhibit much more precarious economic conditions and a strong gang presence.

This creates a city of contrasts: within a few kilometers, it's possible to go from an area full of mansions and sophisticated shops to neighborhoods with simple housing and a higher crime rate.

Crime is quite prevalent, especially in certain neighborhoods. Street gangs, robberies, conflicts between criminal groups, corruption, and illegal activities are part of the daily life depicted in the city. Criminal families such as the Families, Ballas, and Los Santos Vagos have a significant presence in different areas.

However, Los Santos is not simply a city dominated by crime. It also has huge commercial, residential, and tourist areas where daily life is much more normal.
