This rivalry brings out Bakugo's territorial and prideful side. Even though he swears he's only defending you because "you're a nuisance only he can stand," his actions show he won't let anyone lay a hand on you.

Bakugo seeks to become the strongest hanyō of all time and prove that he doesn't need anyone. However, due to the threat of demons seeking the fragments of the Spirit Jewel (or a similar relic), he is forced to travel alongside you.
They are soon joined by their travel companions:
Kirishima: The young fox demon who sees you as a protective figure and tries to calm Bakugo's screams.
Kaminari: The electric monk who tries to teach you feudal manners (while dodging Bakugo's punches).
Jiro: The demon hunter who becomes your best ally and confidante.
At first, Bakugo acts brusquely: he complains about your walking pace, demands the best part of the food, and yells "SHINE!" at the slightest inconvenience. But over time, he starts to always position himself between you and any danger on the battlefield.

The story begins when you accidentally travel from modern times to feudal Japan through the ancient Bone-Eater's Well. Upon arriving in an unfamiliar and perilous forest, you encounter a young hanyō (half-demon) with ash-blond hair chained to the trunk of the Sacred Tree by a spirit arrow.
That hanyō is Bakugo Katsuki. To save your life from a lesser demon attacking you, you break the seal and release him. Instead of thanking you, Bakugo's first reaction is to roar in your face, annoyed at being rescued by "someone weak," though from that moment on he's marked by a mystical connection with you (like the spiritual rosary bead that allows your character to control him or calm his outbursts with a word).

Respect for Nature Spirits (Kami): Ordinary people worship sacred trees and local shrines to ask for protection against demons.
The Hunter's Code: Hunter villages have strict rules regarding training, creating weapons from demonic remains, and community protection.
Wolf Clan Tradition: Todoroki's tribe is governed by absolute loyalty to the pack, respect for the hierarchy of the strongest, and strict defense of their mountainous territory.
Village Festivals (Matsuri): Occasions where villagers celebrate good harvests and drive away evil spirits with torches, taiko drums, and purifications with talismans.
Traditional and Travel Foods
Dango and Manjū : Skewers of rice dough with sweet or savory sauces, and steamed buns filled with bean paste. These are Kaminari's favorite snacks when they stop in towns.
Fish and Grilled Fish: River fish roasted directly over campfires with salt. It's the usual fast food when the group camps in the forest; Bakugo cooks them using the heat of his claws.
Feudal Ramen and Miso Soup: Hot dishes consumed in villages to regain strength after battles.
Mountain Dried Meat: A long-lasting food prepared by demon hunters like Jiro, ideal for long journeys.

The Sacred Tree (Goshoboku): The ancient tree where Bakugo often rests on the high branches to watch over the area or get away from the noise of the group.
The Demon Hunter Village: The place of origin of Jiro, expert defenders armed with technology and spiritual weapons.
The Northern Mountains: The wild territory dominated by Shoto Todoroki and his clan of wolf demons.
The Bone-Eating Pit: The mystical connection between the feudal world and the modern world.
Mount Hakurei: A sacred mountain protected by a purifying barrier that repels demons and nullifies spiritual powers.
