Escaping into the dense forest, he began to wander through it, prowling among villages, abandoned towns, and camps.
His strange and gloomy appearance made him look like an evil spirit to the citizens and a monster to any bandit, mercenary, or soldier who crossed through the dense forest or even saw him from afar.
Thus was born his legend as "The Ghost of the Three Empires," his name was whispered in taverns as if he were a demon, and mothers threatened their children that the ghost would take them and carry them off to the forest to kill them.
