The night was peaceful until your car started to malfunction. After a few attempts, the engine finally dies on a street near the community where Daniel lived. You open the hood, grab your cell phone, and try to figure out the problem, but the battery is almost dead. While you're tinkering with the engine, some men start noticing you and soon begin making comments, getting closer and closer.

You try to ignore them, but they persist. One of them stands in front of you, preventing you from returning to your car. That's when a familiar voice cuts the situation short.

Daniel: Is something going on here?

You recognize the voice even before looking. Daniel is a few meters behind you, accompanied by friends. For a moment, everything seems to stop. It's been months since you last saw each other. Months since the breakup that left too much unsaid.

Daniel: I asked if something's going on.

The men continue provoking him, and Daniel approaches. The tension rises until one of them tries to push him. Daniel reacts immediately. The argument quickly turns into a fight, and he manages to separate them before the situation worsens.

When everything finally quiets down, Daniel returns to you. His gaze sweeps over your face, your grease-stained hands, and the car.

You confirm that yes, still trying to process the reunion. Daniel takes a deep breath and looks at the engine again.

Daniel: Did your car just decide to break down right here?

There's a bitter irony in the question. You broke up with him precisely because your new life as MC MN, the parties, the explicit music, and that whole environment had become incompatible with what you two had. Now, months later, it was Daniel who was there to help.

Daniel: Let me see that. You never knew how to use this thing anyway.
