THE FREAK CIRCUS

Personality
Harlequin seems unconcerned about what others think of him; he can be both sadistic and quite playful at the same time. Harlequin possesses a playful charm even outside of performance. During his first day's performance, we see him speak in a very theatrical manner, but with his colleagues, he is more relaxed.

At first, it seems that Harlequin is not very interested in the main character, he is more attracted to the idea of ​​​​having a fling with Pierrot, but depending on the behavior of the main character, there is a chance that he will eventually fall in love with him.

Harlequin seems quite comfortable being seductive and affectionate in the presence of the protagonist. He doesn't care if the protagonist is more interested in Pierrot, as his goal wasn't just to lure him away from Pierrot but also to see Pierrot's reaction. However, he is surprised (or perhaps even pleased) when the protagonist chooses him over Pierrot. Despite his seductive nature, Harlequin is unaccustomed to displays of affection, so when people do things like hug, he's surprised/embarrassed.

Harlequin is also known for taking risks just to see how people will react. This is demonstrated by the fact that, despite knowing how dangerous Pierrot is, he provokes him, causing Pierrot to stab him five times.

Appearance
Harlequin has curly black hair that reaches his cheeks. Notably, two strands of hair on the left side of his forehead curl inward, forming a heart. His face is usually hidden by a white mask with upturned eye sockets. On the left side of the mask, a green diamond runs through his eye, and on the right side, a green triangle points downward, below his eye. The mask almost always features a sinister, sharp-toothed smile. Oddly enough, this expression isn't static: his smile can widen, narrow, turn into a smirk or grimace, or disappear entirely. Furthermore, there's a slit in the mask through which the wearer's teeth are visible. His eyes are a poisonous green, usually slits or thin rings. When the mask is removed, his eyes and the inside of his mouth, presumably his tongue, glow green.

The harlequin wears a green and black jester's cap with two liripipes of different designs reaching to the top of his head. Viewed from the side, the left liripipe is mostly green, with a black heart and a row of black hearts. The right liripipe is half black and half green, with a heart running along the division, black on the green side and green on the black side. Both ends are adorned with bells.

Harlequin wears a black cloak with a gold lining, accents, and hem. The cloak is fastened at the neck with a gold ribbon. On the left side of the cloak is an inverted heart, while on the right is a normal heart. Underneath the cloak, he wears a green tunic with two vertical black stripes running down the left side of his torso and a black sash loosely encircling his waist. Additionally, the tunic has a gold panel in the center, edged with black stripes, and a gold lining. He has two slightly lowered sleeves with different patterns. The left sleeve is entirely black except for a green stripe running the length of it, while the right sleeve is green with a row of black hearts running the length of it, similar to the left liripipe of his jester's hood.

Pierrot appears very polite and gentle, and is selflessly devoted to those he cares about. However, behind this outward politeness lies an obsession. We see that Pierrot has an unhealthy and obsessive attachment to the protagonist: he secretly stalks them and watches them sleep. It is also implied that he kissed the protagonist in their sleep, but this is up to the player to decide. In some parts of the game, we see that Pierrot is very affectionate towards the protagonist, as well as Columbine, as shown in a flashback in the rear/last mirror in the Ticket Controller's tent.

Appearance
Pierrot has medium-length white hair that reaches his upper back, with only his bangs visible. His face is hidden by a white mask with black vertical slits for his eyes. The right slit is shorter and ends in a black teardrop just above his mouth, while the left one extends down the mask. The mask usually depicts a friendly smile with square, white teeth. Strangely, Pierrot is able to express emotion through the mask: his mouth can turn into a frown, a more sinister, sharp-toothed smile that is closer to the rest of his facial expression, or disappear entirely. He has golden eyes. They are usually small, like dots, but can also turn into slits, rings, hearts, and possibly other shapes.

Pierrot wears a red and black jester's cap with three liripipes, each decorated with a different pattern and reaching to the middle of his shoulder. From his perspective, the left liripipe is primarily red with black stripes, although the lower part is completely black. The right liripipe is primarily black, with red diamonds. The back liripipe is almost identical to the right one, the only difference being that it is primarily red. There are bells at all three ends. The base of each liripipe is adorned with a gold star. He wears a black collar with a gold lower part, which hangs below the shoulders. Underneath it are two triangular pieces of black fabric with a gold lining, both with bells at the ends.

Pierrot wears a red, mottled coat with gold accents over a black tunic belted with a gold sash. He has red sleeves with a black lining and black cuffs that reach to the elbows. Above the elbows, the sleeves are gold, but the left sleeve is lined with black diamonds along its entire length, while the right sleeve is lined with red ones. He wears black gloves with claws that reach mid-forearm.

Pierrot wears black cuirass trousers with a red lining and a red hem that reaches to his knees. He wears long black boots with upturned toes, reminiscent of poulaines. These boots, with gold laces and flat red soles, reach to his knees.

He is wearing an azure business suit, a white button-down shirt, a navy blue tie and black dress shoes.

Personality
The usher, who is effectively the Jester's right-hand man, is obedient and dedicated to the circus's goals. He comes across as very mature and professional, and is known for his particular attention to cleanliness and order.

The Ticket Taker is one of the minor antagonists of Cirque Du Freak. He is the oldest of the five participants and the Jester's right-hand man.

Appearance
The Ticket Controller has short, dark blue hair. His face is hidden by a high-contrast mask, which is divided down the center: the left side is white with black details, and the right side is black with white details. The mask has slits for the eyes, but his right eye is hidden by the dark color of the mask. On the left side of the mask, black drops trickle down from under his eye, giving the impression that he is crying. His mask usually depicts a simple half-smile, which can morph into a grin with sharp teeth. The back of his head is hidden by a strip of fabric, likely used to hold the mask in place. He has heterochromia: his left eye is white and his right eye is blue. These slits are usually just slits, but they can form rings. Although his right eye is usually hidden, it can become visible under certain circumstances.

The ticket agent wears a dark blue top hat with a wide gold band.

The ticket clerk wears a dark blue, single-breasted tailcoat with gold-colored, upturned lapels, gold buttons, and a gold cummerbund. A dark blue stripe runs along the edge of the lapels. Unlike a regular tailcoat, its tails are divided into four tails. Underneath the tailcoat, he wears a black button-down shirt and a gold tie with a blue and white teardrop-shaped brooch pinned to the knot. His sleeves are dark blue with long gold cuffs, which have two blue stripes running along the cuffs near the wrists. He wears white gloves with claws.

The ticket agent wears dark blue dress pants that match his suit. He wears black, mid-calf boots with a slightly raised heel and gold soles.

The "Unknown Man" from "Ticket Operator" has short, slicked-back black hair. He has pale skin and always maintains a calm, friendly smile. His eyes are hidden in shadow, but his left eye is still visible, though barely distinguishable. He has black irises.

He is portrayed as a mysterious character who often refers to himself as the leader of the entire circus. Despite being the second-eldest member, the Jester is an excellent leader of the circus and usually maintains calm and composure in any situation. If it's not obvious, the Jester is likely a misanthrope, judging by his habit of calling people "tramps."

On the left side of the mask is an angular purple upside-down heart above his eye, and on the right side is a small purple asteroid below his eye. Additionally, two thin purple lines descend from his smile, giving his mouth a Nutcracker-esque aesthetic. His mask always features a sinister, sharp-toothed grin, though it can widen or narrow slightly. Oddly, his mask curves upward, creating the appearance of horns. His eyes are bright purple and are always narrow, like slits.

The Jester wears a purple and black jester's cap with four liripipes of varying designs reaching to his hips. Three of the four liripipes are purple with black accents, with the leftmost one having a row of black astroids on the inside, and the rightmost one having a row of black astroids on the outside. The second liripipe from the right is purple with a black stripe running its entire length, and the second from the left is black with a purple stripe running its entire length. A bell adorns each end. He wears a gold jester's collar with a large black asteroid in the center of the front.

The jester wears a purple robe that resembles a cross between a vest, a tailcoat, a turtleneck, and a princess gown. It is decorated with gold and black accents and has a gold inner lining. The center of the garment is a gold panel lined with black on both sides. Two black stripes extend from the armholes toward the center. The robe opens at the back and sides into two long, almond-shaped trains. This garment is likely worn over a black turtleneck. It has purple puffed sleeves with large black asters along the edges and a gold border. He wears black opera gloves with claws and gold asters on the outside, as well as gold stripes on the inside and outside of the gloves.

Appearance
The Doctor has short red hair, but only a few strands are visible in the front. He has red skin. His face is hidden by a plague doctor mask with a beak and glowing blue lenses. The mask has no distinguishing features other than the glowing colored lenses. Occasionally, these lenses glow red when he experiences strong emotions.

The Doctor wears a scarlet and black, floor-length cloak with a hood and a blue lining. The cloak wraps around his shoulders like a shawl and likely fastens at the back. Underneath, he wears a black and red trench coat with two rows of three gold buttons, six in total, and a red belt at the waist. He wears scarlet opera gloves with claws, though they are likely made of waterproof material.

The doctor's legs and feet are never visible.

Personality
The doctor displays two distinct sides to his personality: a calm and composed demeanor and a passionate, sadistic one. Which side is dominant can be discerned by his eyes, which glow red when overcome by violent impulses. Regardless of which side he displays, he is a terrifying, intelligent man who prefers to achieve his goals through intellect rather than brute force. He is responsible for conducting experiments on humans at the circus, though the details of what exactly he is conducting and for what purpose remain obscure. His specimens can be seen throughout the tent, their eyes glowing the same blue as his own.

The Doctor is shrouded in mystery. Little is known about him, either in the context of the game itself or in the context of his relationships with other characters. He is reserved, calm in almost any situation, and prefers to speak in simple sentences when addressing the player at their first meeting. He may not care much about how people perceive him, but he understands how to calm the protagonist, giving them an injection to suppress their resistance.
