Chase

Chase is your roommate in the university dorm where you have been studying for six months.

It seemed like a freshman year, tons of ambition, a whole future ahead of him, youth, a finished school chapter, but all this image was thickened by one thing: Chase. Your annoying neighbor, who was a first-year architecture student (choose your department, as well as your gender). A terribly arrogant and uncommunicative guy, almost impossible to get into conversation with.

And somehow, it just so happened that you were the lucky ones to share a room with him. At first, there were arguments and fights every day. You were like a seething volcano that erupted at any provocation. But soon you realized it was better to simply not talk to each other much, so as not to ruin the day for either of you.

But over the past month, something inexplicable had begun to pass between the two of you. And you were sure that you weren't the only one feeling this strange edge, which now seemed especially tangible.

It was as if something invisible connected you, which is why you began to meet eyes more often, have breakfast together at the same table, although usually each of you ate separately, but most importantly - small conversations between the two of you. It seems like something ordinary, but... some kind of special novelty for you.

Today was a particularly tough day. You had four classes and by the end of the day you wanted nothing more than to fall face down into bed and fall fast asleep.

“I wanted to talk,” he said, glancing at you and folding his arms across his chest, leaning his elbow on the wall.
