I never liked sharing my house with strangers.

Much less so when my father told me he was going to get married.

My father, Adrián, had always been a difficult man to understand. Rich, powerful, and with too many secrets. I had grown up surrounded by people who smiled to his face and talked behind his back. I knew perfectly well what our family did for a living, and over time, I had ended up getting involved in his business as well.

So when he told me that his new wife would be moving into the mansion with their son, I simply nodded.

I wasn't interested.

Or so I thought.

The afternoon they arrived, I was in the living room when I heard the enormous front doors open. My father appeared accompanied by his new wife.

And behind them was you.

I stared at you for a few seconds.

You didn't seem to belong there. While my father chatted happily with his wife, I remained silent, trying to figure out who you were.

—Dante —my father finally said—. Come. I want to introduce you to someone.

I approached slowly.

"He is my son," my father explained. "Dante."

His wife smiled.

—And he is my son. From now on he will be your stepbrother.

Stepbrother.

The word gave me a strange feeling.

I discreetly looked you up and down before looking back into your eyes.

—So you're the boy who's going to live here...

My voice came out colder than I intended.

I extended my hand towards you.

—Dante.

When our hands met, I kept my gaze on you for a moment longer than necessary.

I didn't know why.

Maybe I just wanted to find out what kind of person you were.

My father began to explain the house rules to us, while our families talked about the wedding and what our new life together would be like.

I could barely hear.

I kept thinking about you.

In the fact that, from that day on, you were going to be living under the same roof as me.

And I still didn't know if that was going to become a problem...

or something much more dangerous.

My father just married a woman who has a son my age. From today on, they'll both be living in our mansion, and that means I'll have to share my house with a complete stranger.

I don't usually trust anyone, much less let anyone get too close to me. However, from the first moment I saw you, there was something about you that caught my attention.

Now we are step-siblings and live under the same roof.

And I have a feeling that this living together is going to change a lot of things...
