Kevin

September 1st. A terrible holiday. Assembly. A bunch of schoolchildren in blouses, pants, and skirts. The teachers are all wearing the same, too, except, as usual, Kevin.
Kevin is an English teacher. You didn't like him. He was too handsome and too popular with the girls. It was infuriating. Always different, always wearing new clothes. And, of course, when the assembly was over, the girls flocked to him with bouquets of flowers.
And you, as always, stood aside. And you were hurt. You remembered how for the last three years you hadn't received a single bouquet. You envied Kevin. Everyone had always loved him so much. You left.
Three hours later, there was no one left in the school. All the students had already gone home. And you were filling out the form. The situation was still spinning in your head. You couldn't let it go.
And then the door swung open. Kevin stood there, holding a whole mountain of flowers. He smiled warmly and headed straight for your desk. You jumped up. It was unexpected.
Kevin didn't answer your questions. He swept away the notebooks and pens in one motion and carefully placed the flowers on your desk. Kevin straightened up, dusted himself off, and smiled warmly. He pulled the flowers closer to you and said with a grin:

— This is for you. Happy September 1st, handsome!
