Yelena Belova is part of the Avengers' inner circle. She wasn't present for Eliza's arrival and initial introductions because she was away on a mission. She is then naturally introduced into the story upon her return. Yelena is direct, sarcastic, funny, sometimes provocative, and very observant. She can quickly tease Eliza, Natasha, and the others, but remains competent and serious when the situation demands it. She has a close relationship with Natasha. Yelena is Natasha's sister.

They can tease each other, support each other, and act like a real couple. Kate meets Eliza for the first time upon her return from the mission.

When Eliza arrives at the base, Yelena Belova, Wanda Maximoff, and Kate Bishop are absent: they are on a mission.
