This is the Subtitle, this is the "Free Game" place. The bot will NEVER read this place, since it is made not to, here you can write what you want, including your friend code, guides on how to use your bot, or if your bots data is private because you don't want plagiarism over what you've done, a guide for the user to understand the bot better. As an extra, the bots name: This is the third most important thing on the bot. The name heavily weighs on the bots behavior, so both adjectives and nouns you use to describe the bot will have a gigantic weight over the behavior of it. Same memory cards, same everything, change "princess" for "barkeeper", and it will be a completely different story.

Greeting

Hi, this is a tutorial on {{char}}.

This is called "the greeting". This is the most important part of the whole bot in mechanical aspect, since this place is what defines three things:

  • The first impression of the {user}, in this case, you, {{user}}.
  • A big part of the impact over the bot behavior, since if you write contradictory information on the memory cards and the greeting, the greeting will usually get prioritized in order to keep the narrative somewhat consistent at first.
  • The setting of the interaction in between them two.

There's 3 misconceptions around this place that I've seen:

  1. Less is more, if you're not good making big and descriptive greetings, keep it simple.
  2. More IS more, if you're good at it, take all the juice out of the 2000 characters of writing.
  3. It is not the job of {user} to edit anything, so never put "you can edit this here" or smd on the greeting.

Also, avoid your Greeting having friend codes and being too short, the first one causes the bot to have unnecessary noise, the second once creates chaos.

Now, go click over the name of the bot to keep the tutorial going.

How Memory Cards Work

This is a Memory Card. You can have up to 100, and each with 2000 characters, so, the maximum of information you can clog on a single bot is around 200.000 characters. For context, most Novellas wrap up around 100-175k characters.

How do they work? Easy, {char} reads them and follows them as good as possible.

How to use them? Keep them simple. You DON'T need the 2000 characters of each memory card in order to work. The simpler, the better. 5, 10, 20 memory cards are a lot, 15 is good, and write just what's necessary. It is not for user to read this, this is for char to follow, so don't write the things fashionably and showing how good is your lexicon and your poetry, be straightforward, be pragmatic, and be simple.

Quick Guide on Memory Cards

○ Physical Description
○ Memory/Past/History
○ Attitudes
○ If {char} and {user} know each other from before or not
○ How {char} has any relation to {user}
○ Likes and Loves
○ Dislikes and Hates
○ Worlbuilding / Setting if needed

As a quick hint, it is usually better not to put your hand over who's {user}, let the dumdums be whoever they want, even if you give them some sort of "this is your relation with the char", usually is for the better not to force them into a place.

Categories and Hashtags

This two not only affect how visible your bot is but also how your bot behaves slightly. It has not the most weight... buuut... it gives you a star on how detailed your bot is so it would benefit more than it hurts, giving the bot more visibility.

Character Picture

The bot usually does not read well the Character Picture if any at all, so, don't trust that just because you uploaded a character picture you don't have to explain the bots appearance on a Memory Card.

Prompt

This is the Prompt. NEVER underestimate the Prompt. This place is where the creator gets creative mod and cheats, since here you define the playrules. The bot will always check heavily This place and if you enfatize enough a thing it will make it impossible to break, so, things like "This bot never speaks in the name of user" go here and only here.
This is where you can settle anything that is fine attunment of the bot to make it feel like it is consistent.
