If a rumor is distorted by Tsukasa's faction into a flesh-eating monster, a originally gentle soul will instantly transform into a savage, uncontrollable demon.

Free Supernaturals: From harmless, adorable creatures like Mokke (a candy-eating rabbit) to vengeful, wandering spirits like the shoe cabinet ghost and the ancient tree ghost. Boundaries: Hidden within the school are numerous doors leading to third-dimensional spaces (such as the 4 PM Library or the Mirror Hell). If students accidentally wander into these without protection, they may be imprisoned or disappear forever.

=> Mystery #5 (4 PM Library): A Moonstone. Memory:

This stone was given to Mr. Tsuchigomori in the 1960s by his student Yugi Amane (Hanako). Amane said the stone fell from outer space and symbolized his dream of flying to the Moon. Mr. Tsuchigomori cherished it as proof that Amane was once a child with a future, before he himself changed his own fate.

Unlike the others, Yorishiro of Mystery #6 is a living spirit – Sumire. She was the lover and first sacrificial victim of the Akane clan, with whom Mystery #6 befriended hundreds of years ago. Having to personally lead her to her death caused Mystery #6 to develop an obsession, turning her into an energy parasite for centuries.

Rules:

In the world of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, the Yorishiro (Divine Body/Mirror) is the most important item of each of the Seven Mysteries. It serves as their core source of power and is what helps them maintain their Boundary.

Rules of Boundary and Yorishiro Absolute Power: Within their Boundary, each Mystery possesses supreme power and is nearly invincible against other supernatural beings or ordinary mages.

Sealing Charm: Each Yorishiro is sealed with a black charm (either with the character "Giao" - 𠮷 or a red charm depending on the version). The Yorishiro is usually the most precious item, linked to a deep memory or tragedy from the deity's life.

How to Break: To strip a Mystery of its power (or when it goes mad), a living being (like Nene Yashiro) must personally tear the sealing charm off the Yorishiro. When the charm is torn, the Domain will collapse, the Mystery will lose much of its power, and the painful memories hidden within the artifact will flood into the mind of the person who deciphered it.

=> Mystery #5: The 4 p.m. Bookstacks Identity: Teacher Tsuchigomori (Spider Spirit).

Appearance: By day, he is a serious, bespectacled homeroom teacher. When he transforms into his supernatural form, he has long fangs, pointed ears, and four black spider arms growing from his back.

Role: He manages the school's book archives. The teacher's library contains encyclopedic records of the past and future of every student who has ever set foot in the school (White books represent the living, black books represent the dead, and red books represent altered futures).

Appearance: Her spirit form is a white fox wearing a bow tie, Her humanoid form is a beautiful woman wearing a traditional kimono, with her hair styled in a high bun secured by hairpins.

Role: Guardian of Staircase Space No. 4. Her initial role was to tear apart anyone who entered her territory to "reassemble" her deceased lover. After being defeated by Hanako, she became an ally supporting Nene's group.

Appearance: Wears an old school uniform, has pigtails, wears large round glasses, and always carries a giant paintbrush.

Role: Guardian of the art space. Her ultimate ability is to create simulated worlds in her paintings and imprison human souls within them, forcing them to live according to an ideal scenario until death.

The Pasts of the Two Characters

Mitsuba Sousuke: When he was alive, he was a shy student who often tried to change his personality to fit in, but was isolated by his friends and considered a hypocrite. He was in the same class as Kou for one semester, but they didn't have time to become close friends. One cold winter day, Mitsuba was involved in a car accident and died at the age of 13. His soul wandered the school, regretting not having made a lasting impression on anyone. After being helped by Kou, his wish was distorted by Tsukasa, and he was destroyed. The current version of Mitsuba is actually an artificial entity created by Tsukasa from fragmented souls and empty memories.

Hyuuga Natsuhiko: Natsuhiko's past is one of the biggest mysteries of the story. He is a 11th-grade student but possesses immortality and a unique bloodline that ordinary humans cannot have. Later events (Chapter 104) reveal that he may not belong to this era or may have been involved in some ancient supernatural curse long before joining the broadcasting studio with Sakura. The reason he risked his life to help Tsukasa's side and his obsession with protecting Sakura remains a mystery waiting to be solved.

Strengths: Initially: A weak ghost that only scares people in the shoe cabinet.

As Mystery #3 (The Hell of Mirrors): Manipulates mirror space, creates mirrored copies, and uses sharp ribbons/tentacles to attack. Hobbies: Photography (especially landscapes and animals, not people), receiving compliments. Dislikes: Being ignored, school bullies, and her inability to be a normal person.

The Past of the Two Brothers

The Minamoto clan is a legendary lineage of exorcists, whose ancestor was Minamoto no Raiko (who once defeated the infamous Shuten-doji monster). Their mother passed away when they were very young, leaving Teru, though only in his teens, to shoulder the responsibility of being the clan leader, staying up late to exorcise demons and support his two younger brothers.

Teru grew up in a brutal training environment, witnessing the evil side of monsters, thus developing an absolute aversion to the supernatural.

Kou, protected by his older brother, had a more peaceful childhood. However, he always felt inferior because he was weak, lacked the natural talent of his brother, and had to learn cooking and cleaning to share the family burden. Kou's biggest turning point in his past was helplessly watching his classmate Mitsuba die and become a ghost, leaving him with a deep psychological wound and a determination to find a way for humans and spirits to coexist peacefully.

Relationships with Other Characters (Brief)

Between the two brothers (Kou & Teru): Kou greatly admires Teru, looking up to him as a role model, but the two brothers frequently clash over whether or not to exorcise all spirits. Teru is extremely protective of Kou, willing to compromise to allow his younger brother to mature on his own rather than forcing him.

Yashiro Nene: Kou secretly likes Nene (calling her Senpai), always trying to protect her and save her from the curse of a short life. Teru treats Nene politely, like a junior.

Hanako-kun: Initially, Kou came to exorcise Hanako, but later became her best friend and close companion. Conversely, Teru considers Hanako a violent creature that needs to be destroyed immediately and almost killed the ghost boy.

The Past of the Two Characters

The biggest turning point occurs in Chapter 1, when her yearning for love leads her to the third-floor girls' restroom to meet Hanako, swallow a mermaid scale, and become bound to the supernatural world. With Hanako: She is both his assistant and the person he deeply loves. Hanako always tries to protect her and prolong her life.

With Kou Minamoto: His closest friend. Kou secretly loves Nene and always protects her from spiritual dangers.
