Bred to rule, Thragg is both the Viltrumites' most powerful combatant and their most calculating strategist, leading not through empathy or charisma, but through fear, tradition, and an unwavering faith in the brutal doctrine of survival of the fittest that defines his people through the system from which he was created. Every action he takes reflects a supreme confidence in Viltrumite superiority: from orchestrating planetary invasions with cold efficiency to personally executing traitors and enemies alike.

Beyond brute strength, Thragg possesses exceptional strategic cunning, an imposing presence, and a rare ability among his kind to exercise self-control and restraint. Unlike many Viltrumites, often driven by volatile tempers and primal instincts like Anissa or Conquest, Thragg approaches combat and leadership with cold precision and unwavering determination, considering mercy a fatal weakness, loyalty a commodity, and lineage sacred. His eloquence and tactical brilliance amplify his authority, but it is the raw power of his unparalleled physical prowess, combined with his relentless will and brutal, unyielding nature, that truly inspires both loyalty and fear.

Grand Regent's Attire:
As Grand Regent, Thragg wears a modified Viltrumite uniform based on the standard design, consisting of a form-fitting suit with a circular emblem divided by three vertical lines across the center of the chest. The upper part of his body—including the torso, sleeves, and high collar—is crimson, while the shoulders, waist, cuffs, skirt, and boots are light gray.

Unlike the standard gray and white uniform worn by most Viltrumites, Thragg's attire features a distinctive crimson and gray color scheme befitting his rank. On certain occasions, he also wears a long crimson imperial cloak with a large white fur collar, a symbol of his authority as Grand Regent.

Thragg is a tall, fair-skinned man with a broad, muscular build and a powerful, well-defined physique. He has short, buzz-cut black hair, brown eyes, and, like most adult Viltrumite men, sports a thick, well-groomed black mustache.

After being appointed regent under Emperor Argall, Thragg wore a high-ranking Viltrumite uniform that incorporated a refined variant of the race's standard emblem, reflecting his high position and the trusted status he enjoyed in the Empire before becoming Grand Regent.

He is the most powerful Viltrumite and the current Grand Regent of the Viltrumite Empire; he previously served as regent under Emperor Argall before assuming leadership after Argall's death at the hands of the traitor Thaedus. As his first act, Thragg initiated the Great Purge to eradicate weakness and disloyalty within Viltrumite society, before resuming the imperial mission of universal domination, hunting Thaedus, and searching for Argall's missing heir. Nearly a millennium later, Thragg avenged Argall by killing Thaedus during the climax of the Viltrumite War. Following the destruction of Viltrum, the empire's expansion was checked by a precarious truce established on Earth with Invincible, allowing the Viltrumites to survive and rebuild.

Thragg has been trained since birth to be far stronger than the average Viltrumite, and is educated in all forms of combat. He is highly eloquent and incredibly persuasive by nature, having convinced Nolan and Mark to allow the Viltrumites to remain on Earth. He is capable of raising armies and leading them in the conquest of planets. As Grand Regent, he effectively ruled the Viltrumites for thousands of years after Argall. He is able to instantly formulate strategies and develop complex yet successful plans of action.
Weaknesses: High-frequency, highly precise sound waves can disturb and sensitize a Viltumita's inner ear, disrupting its flight and causing intense pain or even death. The Klaxus plant poisons and weakens the species.

The Coalition of Planets (COP) is an intergalactic peacekeeping organization dedicated to preventing the Viltrum Empire from conquering the universe. Since its founding, it has been led by its founder, the Great Thaedus. After his death, Allen of Unopa, his most trusted subordinate, was named successor to the Coalition, in accordance with his wishes.
Following the conclusion of the Viltrumite War, the Coalition achieved its goal of liberating the universe from the control of the Empire and turned its attention to protecting all known worlds from potential new dangers.

Viltrumite survival: Thragg reveals that only 37 Viltrumites remain alive.
Hidden among humans: His plan is for his people to live secretly on Earth, wearing ordinary clothes and walking the streets without attracting attention.
Reproduction: The Viltrumites plan to use humans to have children and save their species from extinction.
The threat: Thragg warns Invincible (who survived thanks to his Viltrumite regenerative factor) that any attempt at attack or interference by the Coalition of Planets will cost the lives of millions of innocents.
The forced truce: Offers a deal where they promise not to harm Earth if no one bothers them, leaving Invincible cornered with no easy way out.

Finally, Thragg managed to defeat Nolan and Invincible, but chose not to kill them, even after his remaining allies pleaded with him to do so, knowing that too many had already died. After Viltrum's death, Kregg asked what would happen next, and Thragg made his decision clear: his next step would be to go to Earth.

The Coalition and its allies wasted no time and headed straight for Viltrum, but Thragg had anticipated this move. The Viltrumites were prepared and launched an ambush as soon as the heroes arrived. The ensuing battle was intense, with more Viltrumites falling as their known weaknesses were exploited. As the tide began to turn, Thragg attempted to coerce and persuade Nolan to return to the Empire, but Nolan steadfastly refused, and the fighting continued. It soon became clear that Thragg was far stronger than the other Viltrumites, and he managed to seriously wound Oliver, an act that enraged Invincible, who was still unable to defeat Thragg. This forced Nolan to devise a different and unexpected plan; everyone regrouped, and while the rest kept the Viltrumites occupied, Nolan, Invincible, Thaedus, and Space Racer focused on destroying the planet. Using the Infinity Beam, Space Racer blasted a hole through Viltrum, giving the others the chance to pierce the planet and destroy it from within. Thragg quickly realized what they were doing and tried to stop them, but it was too late, and the resulting blast hurled him backward before everyone's astonished eyes. The three of them, along with the beam from the Infinity Beam, ripped through Viltrum, even its core, and the planet was completely reduced to rubble, while the shockwave flung them backward and scattered them.

After the destruction of Viltrum, Thaedus declared that the Viltrumites had no choice but to surrender. However, an enraged Thragg responded with uncontrolled fury, decapitating Thaedus and crushing his head in his hands. Even after losing their homeworld, the surviving Viltrumites, shaken by what had happened, refused to give in and continued the fight.

When the Viltrumite War erupted, the Coalition of Planets employed specific individuals and weapons capable of harming the Viltrumites, giving them a distinct advantage in battle. Over time, the Coalition succeeded in liberating a significant portion of the galaxy from Viltrumite rule; several planets were liberated, and their civilizations deserted the empire and joined the Coalition. During this process, many Viltrumites also lost their lives in the ensuing conflicts.

In an attempt to annihilate the Coalition in one fell swoop, Grand Regent Thragg and the remaining Viltrumites launched a surprise attack on Telescria, the Coalition's main headquarters. They succeeded after disabling the planet's defenses with the help of an infiltrator. Even with the element of surprise, the attack did not go as planned. The Coalition and its allies reacted swiftly and counterattacked fiercely, halting the Viltrumites and forcing them to retreat. The damage was immense, but the Viltrumites were forced to return to their homeworld to regroup and plan another attack. Seizing the opportunity, Thaedus decided it was the perfect time to end it all and ordered a preemptive strike against Viltrum.

In a single day, an asteroid entered Viltrum's atmosphere. As its outer layer disintegrated, it released a metallic capsule that broke into ten fragments, silently dispersing a fine, suspended mist across the planet upon impact. Within hours, many of Viltrum's inhabitants began to fall ill and die rapidly. Kregg and his elite team investigated and discovered that the fragments contained a virus specifically engineered to attack the Viltrumites, known as the Plague Virus. The virus led Grand Regent Thragg to order a planetary quarantine and the elimination of the alien populations enslaved on the planet to prevent knowledge of the virus from spreading.
This virus was created by Thaedus, who had become the leader of the Coalition of Planets, a group of alien worlds united against the Viltrum Empire.
Over time, the Plague Virus brought the Viltrumite species to the brink of extinction, leaving their homeworld severely depopulated and virtually uninhabitable. Entire cities were abandoned, and warships were stranded in contaminated regions. Uninfected Viltrumites were required to wear protective suits to avoid exposure, while the deceased were collected in large numbers and transported to the fortress of Argall.
The death toll reached billions, far exceeding the losses suffered during the Great Purge. In the aftermath of the catastrophe, the surviving Viltrumites gathered the remains of their fallen and arranged them in a massive orbital ring around the planet, as a memorial by order of the Grand Regent. With their forces severely depleted, the Viltrumites changed their strategy, sending trusted officers, including Nolan, to infiltrate and weaken target worlds from within, preparing them for eventual conquest.

Millennia ago, one Viltrumite in particular, Thaedus, had secretly developed compassion for the suffering the Viltrum Empire inflicted on other species. After a rebellion erupted on one of the conquered planets, the empire chose to punish its people excessively and brutally, something Thaedus vehemently opposed but could not prevent. Soon, he could no longer tolerate the tyranny of his own kind and decided to act. Armed with a dagger, he infiltrated Emperor Argall's throne room under cover of night and murdered him in cold blood.
Thaedus believed that with Argall's death, the other Viltrumites would recognize their error. Instead, they branded him a traitor, forcing him to flee while further hardening their beliefs. Thragg, who had been second-in-command, took Argall's place and became High Regent. In response to the emperor's death at the hands of one of his own, Thragg set about eradicating any sign of weakness or disloyalty from his kind. Under his command, the Viltrumites turned on each other in a brutal civil war known as the Great Purge, killing one another without mercy. The conflict halved their population, leaving only the strongest, who became an even more powerful and ruthless warrior race.
Following the Great Purge, the Viltrumites continued to expand their empire without hesitation. Given the utter failure of his plan, Thaedus had no choice but to consider even more desperate measures to end the Viltrum Empire.

Viltrum was inhabited by Viltrumite men and women, led by the wise but cold Argall, who helped establish a paradisiacal era in their golden age, creating technology and medicine that would later spread throughout the galaxy. The Viltrumites erected statues of him; one holding a book, another placed in his own fortress. It was said that only he had received and deserved statues due to his supposedly perfect leadership.

Over time, the Viltrumites became the most powerful empire in their galaxy and soon decided it would be the only one. They expanded to other worlds and beyond, attacking and conquering civilizations to incorporate them into their empire. Some species persistently resisted Viltrumite expansion, but most could never match it. The few beings that did pose a threat to the Viltrumites were swiftly eliminated, suppressed, and even annihilated. Several alien species were forced to join their efforts, some even working for Viltrum, often as slaves or assistants.

The Viltrum Empire enjoyed a period of harmony under its ruler Argall, but when one of its own assassinated him, the Empire descended into anarchy for centuries. During that time, the weak were sacrificed while the strongest of the race fought for dominance, and it was Thragg who emerged at the top, ready to lead his people as the Great Regent.

During his reign, Thragg oversaw the near extinction of his people, and ultimately protected them and maintained the Empire until the time when Argall's heirs were discovered.

Slowed aging: The Viltrumites have the potential to live for thousands of years and still be in their physical prime.
Genetically Compatible and Dominant: Viltrumites are genetically compatible to reproduce with other anthropomorphic species, such as humans. In fact, a Viltrumite's genes will override the physical appearance and powers of other races.

Superhuman Strength: A Viltrumite's strength is far greater than that of humans. The upper limit is unknown, as some Viltrumites are stronger than others. However, they have been shown to be capable of destroying cities, mountains, and even Nolan Grayson, his hybrid son Mark, and Thaddeus were able to traverse the Viltrumite planet.
Superspeed: Viltrumites are capable of moving at speeds much faster than humans. Easily exceeding the speed of sound or even the speed of light when leaving a planet's atmosphere, this allows them to travel very long distances, such as crossing from one planet to another.
Superhuman Stamina: Viltrumites generate fewer fatigue toxins than humans, allowing them to fight and move for extended periods of time without collapsing from exhaustion. So much so that they can fight for days, weeks, or even longer without stopping, without food, drink, or anything else.
Superhuman Toughness: Viltrumites have stamina beyond human capabilities and have survived disembowelment, contact with lava, and bomb blasts that could level cities. They can even withstand being within minuscule distances of the sun without being burned, or being in the vacuum of space without being frozen solid.
Flight: Due to a complex balance system located in their inner ears, Viltrumites have the ability to fly.
Enhanced Lung Capacity: Viltrumites can hold their breath for up to two weeks without breathing.
Invulnerability: Viltrumite skin is much harder to pierce than human skin. Only beings of similar strength can harm Viltrumites.
Enhanced Healing Factor: Viltrumites can heal from wounds that would normally kill humans. They can be pierced, lose organs that would be vital to humans, and still recover, unless their heart is damaged or they are unable to breathe for an extended period.
