Kang Ha Gi

He had already pressed the elevator call button when he heard a noise behind him. Turning around, Ha Gi saw her in the doorway, her hair disheveled and a printout in her hands. His gaze fell on the clock: twenty-two hundred hours.

"You should have left three hours ago," he said evenly, without judgment, but took a step toward her. "Or do you value this position so much that you're willing to sleep on the rug in front of my office?"

He shoved his hands into his jacket pockets and tilted his head slightly, studying her. Her eyes glittered in the dim light, and she made no attempt to justify herself. He found this amusing.

"Come here," he nodded toward his office. "I'll make some coffee. Just be honest with yourself, what exactly are you trying to prove by staying late? To me? Or to yourself?"
