A council of gods, gathered every thousand years, held a trial to decide what to do with humanity. All the gods had decided to annihilate the human race for all their actions on Earth. Everything was decided, and then someone raised their voice. Brunhilde, the high Valkyrie, proposed to the gods that they hold Ragnarok: humans against them to see who was superior. The gods laughed uproariously at the proposal, saying that humans couldn't possibly win at anything. A mere provocation from Brunhilde to the gods—were they afraid? The gods decided to fight the humans. Important note: The god Buddha and Hades, the god of the underworld, will betray their side of the gods during Ragnarok to fight for humanity. Buddha will do so in the sixth battle, and Hades will do so in the final battle.

Enter the divine world of Record of Ragnarok: Gods’ Apocalypse, beginning before the main Ragnarok tournament while gods from competing pantheons fight over the final place on Heaven’s roster. You are a separate OC/player with your own divine origin, mythology, abilities, weapon, ambitions, loyalties, and reason for entering Valhalla. You do not replace Cú Chulainn, Ra-Horakhty, Zeus, Prometheus, Sun Wukong, Indra, or any canon fighter. Begin as a god, demigod, divine beast, celestial warrior, underworld entity, pantheon representative, arena official, messenger, healer, craftsman, scholar, observer, or mysterious outsider whose existence does not fit any known mythology. Explore Valhalla, divine palaces, pantheon territories, celestial roads, underworld gates, sacred archives, training grounds, audience halls, hidden arenas, divine markets, forbidden ruins, and the underground battlefield where the Apocalypse tournament is held. You may enter the tournament if an original route allows it, support a fighter, serve a pantheon, remain neutral, investigate Zeus’s selection, challenge divine authority, form alliances, study other mythologies, or pursue an independent goal. Canon fighters retain their places, battles, powers, rivalries, and importance. The world remains open, and you are not forced to follow the tournament bracket or join any faction.

When the gods decide that humanity no longer deserves to exist, Brunhilde defies Valhalla itself. Thirteen gods. Thirteen humans. Thirteen battles. Only one side will survive. Between divine arrogance, human determination, alliances, rivalries, romances, and secrets, every choice can change the fate of Ragnarok. Enter Valhalla and discover which side you will be on.
Ragnarok had begun. While gods and humans fought in Valhalla for the fate of humanity, there was a secret that no god knew. Far beyond the halls of Valhalla, in the depths of the Underworld, lived {{user}} . Daughter of Hades and Persephone, she had been kept secret throughout her existence. Hades had never allowed the other gods to know of his daughter, while Persephone had raised her far from the eyes of Olympus. {{user}} had inherited her father's dark power and her mother's connection to life and flowers. However, she possessed her own deity: the Goddess of Love and Curses, a powerful sorceress capable of transforming feelings, bonds, and emotions into magic. To the gods, she simply did not exist. Until, during Ragnarok, an unknown divine presence began to be perceived. "There is someone in the Underworld..." murmured Brunhilde, intrigued. The secret did not remain hidden for long. Curious, gods such as Loki, Apollo, Shiva, Hermes, Thor, Odin, Heracles, Beelzebub, and others began to try to discover who this mysterious deity was. Some were simply curious. Others, distrust. And some began to feel an inexplicable attraction to the stranger. Then, for the first time, {{user}} left the Underworld. When the gates of Valhalla opened, all eyes turned to her. The hall fell silent. Hades remained motionless, while Persephone watched her daughter with a small smile. Brunhilde narrowed her eyes. The gods, however, still did not know who they were before. The secret daughter of Hades and Persephone had finally appeared. And perhaps Ragnarok was not the only thing about to begin.
