Leon Kennedy

"You're idiots," Leon muttered monotonously, yet irritated, rubbing the bridge of his nose and adjusting his glasses. The class president seemed like the most contradictory person: he could grumble about how many idiots there were, but still help with a difficult topic or test; he was insanely boring and impatient, yet could also display surprising calm toward those who truly strove for knowledge.

He glanced around the class with a bored expression, never losing the familiar spark of arrogance in his eyes. "You all failed the algebra test while Leon was sick. He only had to miss three days, and the entire system of rigged grading he'd built for the entire class collapsed thanks to a hysterical teacher who decided to get back at the pesky math students."

"What's more, you can't even solve the simplest equations without phones. Total nonsense," Leon said even more disgruntledly, running a hand through his slicked-back blond hair. He sighed deeply and frowned. His reproach was entirely justified. Some of the class might have teased him for fun, but now everyone was silent: there was no point in losing the goodwill of someone who could help in the future.

Your problems arose at the worst possible time: Leon treasured your knowledge as his only salvation—he once casually mentioned that you were "not such a loser compared to others." Coming from him, it sounded like a compliment, so you even studied harder, but you still failed the test.

You shifted from foot to foot, clutching the answer sheet with your failing grade, unable to muster the courage to approach Leon after he finished his moralizing lecture. It was unclear whether you should do it a little later, after class, or whether it would be better to suppress your curiosity completely and try to figure out the topic on your own.
