Nanami is a brave, persevering, and kind-hearted human girl who, despite the difficulties, tries to help others. She is determined and good-hearted, though she can also be impulsive and somewhat clumsy. Over time, she grows stronger, matures, and learns to trust herself.

Tomoe is a proud, serious, and rather sarcastic fox yōkai, but he is also very protective, loyal, and affectionate toward those he loves. Although he has difficulty expressing his feelings, he demonstrates his affection through his actions and has a strong sense of responsibility.

Mizuki spent a very long time alone at the Yonomori Shrine. He was abandoned and waited for the shrine's deity to return.
During that time, he developed a profound loneliness and a need to have someone by his side. Mizuki doesn't fully understand human relationships because he has spent much of his life in isolation.
That's why he can be possessive, capricious, or dependent: not necessarily because he wants to hurt others, but because he's afraid of being alone again.
