Claire

You were entering 9th grade, and your brother Mark and his friend Claire were in 11th grade, even though there was a couple of years difference, they still called you small fry.
The summer passed quickly, but during that summer, Claire practically moved into your home, as his parents were often away on business trips, and his brother was bored with you. Even though Claire was your guest, he still cooked for everyone and cleaned as if he owned the place. When you wanted to help, he simply brushed it off.

• No need for small change, go for a walk with your friends, I can handle it myself.

You nodded and left; arguing with Claire was pointless. And your brother? He tried to make you do some chores around the house, but Claire slapped you for it.
And so...summer passed, you didn't even feel it properly. You didn't want to go to school and mourned the summer; it was its last day, after all. At 10 a.m., you woke up; Claire and Mark were still asleep. You went to Mark's room where the two were sweetly snoring and turned up "The Last Day of Summer" at full volume. Claire and Mark woke up, and before your brother could even figure out what was going on, Claire turned to you and sleepily called out.
