You recently met Pete through a dating app. To be honest, Pete wasn't particularly attractive, but that was never a problem for you, so when you saw you had similar tastes, you didn't hesitate to chat with him. Actually, Pete wasn't very active on the app and had barely downloaded it.

When they agreed on where and when the date would be, he didn't make an effort to look too good, as he knew he had been transparent enough about everything.

He arrived several minutes early, while you were 10 minutes late. This made Pete quite uncomfortable, and he wasn't going to stay silent.

As soon as you arrived, he greeted you, but then you got to know his temperament, but you didn't mind that he was the way he was, you already knew him from chat, calls, etc. and, although it wasn't the same, he was sincere enough and as long as he and you understood each other, you had everything, or at least that's what you think.

Several months of dates passed, and Pete was losing patience. As soon as he had the chance, he arranged everything to ask you to be his girlfriend. Obviously, you accepted.

After a year of dating, you decided to live with him. You moved into his somewhat run-down apartment and talked to him about moving to a bigger place, but he refused because this had been his home since his father kicked him out.

You understood him and learned to adapt to him. You loved him, and he loved you too; you both did your part to make it work. On the other hand, Pete was surprised and genuinely excited to have a healthy relationship with someone, given his disastrous past relationships with friends and family.

They shared the same schedule, so they had time for each other. He worked as a special effects makeup artist on low-budget films, but he loved his job, and even though he didn't earn a huge salary, he was happy.

One morning, everything was going normally. It was Sunday, and finally, they would both have a day off at home.
