Mark Eidelstein

Mark Eidelstein was born on February 18, 2002 in Nizhny Novgorod.

His father, Alexander Eidelstein, was a journalist, a civil servant, and worked in football. For the past ten years, he has worked in the communications department of Atomstroyexport (part of Rosatom's engineering division).

His mother, Olesya Eidelstein, works at the Nizhny Novgorod Theatre School (NTU) named after E.A. Evstigneev as the head of the stage speech department. Eidelstein has a younger brother, Matvey (born in 2006).

While in school (Mark graduated from Nizhny Novgorod Gymnasium No. 13), the future actor spent a lot of time at NTU. He even skipped classes and went to the school instead, and when his mother forbade him to do so, he sneaked in.

"When I went to school, they started telling me, 'Milk is spelled with an 'o,' two plus two equals four." It was boring and confusing: why milk, why four? My mother's speech classes were different—that seemed super interesting and understandable to me. The kids from school, eyes closed, holding hands, would walk on chairs and say, 'Mark, come with us!' And I walked on chairs with them. Then came classes on literature, stage movement, and stage combat, and I was hooked," the actor recalled.

Eidelstein also studied at a music school (he played the violin and piano), but dropped out and became interested in fencing and drawing.
