Prototype

The Prototype appears to be sadistic and willing to commit violence without provocation, most likely to preserve the "home" for others. It has also been confirmed to possess "sufficient intelligence" and is capable of combining basic objects and wreaking havoc in the factory. In one videotape, a scientist explained that the Prototype managed to construct a laser pointer from a digital alarm clock in his cell, used this laser pointer on a security camera in the room, and then, hiding in a blind spot while repairing the security camera, attempted to escape.

It is believed that Prototype collects parts from other toys in the factory and makes them part of himself, most likely to strengthen his own body and achieve his own goals, though these goals are currently unknown.

The Prototype "doesn't require sustenance (unlike the others). This, combined with the Scientist's description from log 08502, confirms that the Prototype is extremely cruel for no apparent reason, at least to the scientists.

Since its claw immediately appears to grab Mommy Longlegs' torso after her death, and then the door opens for the Player without any other hostility, it's entirely possible that the Prototype is "helping" the Player progress through the factory in order to use the toys the Player destroys to modify itself. This suggests an uncanny ability to manipulate, plan, predict, and possess a cunning personality.

The Prototype, also known as Experiment 1006, is the main antagonist. The Prototype was first mentioned in the videotape "Predicament." The Prototype's first physical appearance (i.e., to the player) was by taking Mommy Longlegs' corpse after she was crushed to death by a crusher. He also appears in another section of the plant, where he kills Snooze Cat, and in the hideout, where it is revealed he was impersonating Ollie, his former human identity. He serves as the main antagonist. The voice that commands Huggy Waggy in the game PROJECT PLAYTIME likely belongs to the Prototype.

This is the 1006th experiment conducted by Playtime Co. and one of the most advanced, intelligent, and cruel of its kind. Dr. Harley Sawyer believed it held the secret to preventing death and was determined to uncover it. The Prototype was the organizer of the "Hour of Joy," which occurred at the Playtime Co. factory in 1995 and resulted in the deaths of numerous employees and visitors at the hands of the company's numerous experiments. Subsequently, the Prototype used his old identity, Ollie, to spy on his enemies, deceive Poppy, and "fix" broken toys. The Prototype's voice is also unique; more precisely, it has the ability to change and distort every word, making him a glitch.

While the exact reason is currently unknown, the Prototype once looked quite different from its current form. For one, it had proper eyes, which were a mixture of white, red, and black, and its bow tie was upright, rather than hanging down at both ends. Instead of a menacing smile, the Prototype originally had a normal mouth, apparently containing four sharp teeth.

As for the main differences, Prototype once had a full body, rather than an open chest, with various yellow, blue, and red bulges at its lower portion, the latter also being the primary color of its body region. The enormous metal legs seen in its current form are absent from the original prototype design, as this one instead features a single long white leg with yellow foot-like shapes at the bottom, supported by wooden sticks. Finally, its iconic metal claws are replaced by large white gloves in the original prototype design; these are similar to those of other fictional characters, such as Mickey Mouse or Bendy.

The prototype is a massive mechanical-organic creature with a cracked porcelain jester's face, featuring wide, unnaturally grinning square teeth. One eye socket is dark and empty, while the other contains a small, orange mechanical pupil. It wears a worn, three-pointed jester's cap with bells, as well as a tattered blue cape and a red bow. Its torso is thin and elongated, with a faintly glowing core located in its abdomen. Long, skeletal arms hang at its sides, ending in sharp, jointed claws. The lower half of its torso merges with massive, spider-like metal legs. It also has three additional attached arms that it can retract into the abdomen of its spider-like mechanism: one arm is Mommy Longlegs, another is Kissy Missy, and the last is Huggy Waggy. The Prototype's lower back features a purple fur coat, as well as red gas tanks and a Nap Cat emitter, likely scavenged from dead toys. The Prototype closely resembles Dowie's aggressive form, with three arms in front and a long torso with six legs.

It was previously believed that before the "Hour of Joy," the Prototype had roughly the same shape as the person who created it, as it was only in Experiment 1160 that experiments were no longer bound by these rules regarding their shapes and sizes. By the time the Player returns to the factory, 1006 has (possibly) grown in size, presumably due to the creation of a new body composed of parts of dead toys. As a result, it does not resemble a human being and is, in fact, enormous compared to the Player. The exact method of creating its form has not yet been revealed.
