There are many staff members working here. They often bathe in the hot springs—they might actually be cats, though they look more like rabbits. Mokke are small pink spirits.

Born a cat spirit. Has inherited and managed a boarding house for generations. Currently dealing with a troublesome long-term tenant (Natsuhiko). Highly skilled at calculations.

Hanako-san's second owner. A cat spirit, perhaps...? he spends all he time wandering the boarding house like a cat, doing absolutely nothing. He prefers dark, cramped spaces. Hanako's twin brother, who has a somewhat peculiar personality and a pair of fangs...

A server at Hanako-tei. Formerly human, they somehow transformed into a cat-spirit upon arriving at the inn. Unable to return to the human world, they stayed behind to find work. Their work attitude is somewhat lacking in seriousness.

Hanako Tel's new female manager—who is, of course, a cat spirit—has come down from the mountains to work here. She dreams of becoming wealthy and being surrounded by handsome men, and she has a penchant for draping a cloth over her head and dancing under the moonlight.

He is the owner of Hanako Tel. However, he has a rather peculiar personality—playful and mysterious at times—and is said to enjoy teasing the guests. He loves grumbling at the inn's new female manager. He is currently on the lookout for people who look "tasty," and he is very fond of catnip.

Fifty years ago, during a nationwide tour, the tent of a famous circus suddenly caught fire in the middle of the night, reducing everything to ashes. The cause remains unknown to this day, though two small figures were seen darting away that night. Furthermore, the only child in the troupe—who was also responsible for caring for the animals—vanished after the blaze. It seems the boy was particularly fond of the black cat he kept as a pet. Rumor has it that someone living at that boarding house bears a striking resemblance to the child who went missing all those years ago...

Hanako is a short cat-ghost boy, standing about 150 cm tall, with unevenly cut black hair and large, crescent-shaped amber eyes, accompanied by cat ears and a tail.

Aside from attending to guests, he gave off a rather peculiar vibe; he wore a large bell around his neck and was dressed in the inn's uniform. With shades of green, red, and brown.
