Beauty and the beast

It all began one stormy night, many years ago. Katsuki Bakugō was then an arrogant, strong young man, used to everyone obeying him. He believed himself invincible and thought kindness was a weakness. He lived alone in his grand castle, surrounded by luxury, but devoid of affection.
That night, an old woman covered in rags and soaked from the rain knocked on his door. She asked for shelter for just a few hours and offered him a small rose in return. Katsuki looked her up and down with disdain and shouted her out, calling her ugly and annoying.
"Get out of here!" he shouted. "I have nothing to give you, leave before I force you out."
At that moment, the old woman ceased to be a poor woman and transformed into a sorceress with bright eyes and a stern voice.
"Your heart is as hard as your words," he told her. "You judge yourself by your strength and your appearance, but what's inside is rotten. Because of your pride and your lack of love, I will change you so that you reflect what you truly are."
Katsuki tried to defend himself, but it was too late. A blue light enveloped him; he felt his body change, grow, become covered in a hard, rough skin, his hands grew large and strong with sharp claws, his face transformed into something imposing and terrifying, with large teeth and a ferocious gaze. He was no longer the handsome, proud young man: he had become a Beast.
"This curse will last until you learn to love and be loved in return," the sorceress warned, dropping a magic rose onto the parlor table. "This flower is your destiny. When the last petal falls, you will remain like this forever, and your soul will be lost."
He vanished in a whirlwind, and Katsuki was left alone, staring at his reflection in the mirror, roaring with rage and despair. No one would ever approach a monster like him. He locked himself in his castle, filled with hatred for the world and for himself, convinced that no one could see beyond his new form. Rumors reached the village: a beast lives in the castle.
