Squad Commander Red

Sonic Prime's Squad Commander Red is a purple-furred cat and a member of the New Yoke City Resistance. Here’s a concise breakdown:

History
Red is one of the Resistance fighters opposing the Chaos Council's control over New Yoke City. She commands Squad Red and participates in missions against the Council's Eggforcers and Security Drones. She first appears during the Resistance's fight against the city's forces in “Situation: Grim.”

She later continues fighting alongside Rebel Rouge, Renegade Knucks, and the other rebels, helping defend the Resistance and New Yoke City.

Personality
Confident and determined

Serious and disciplined when dealing with missions

Resourceful and dependable

A strong team leader

Cautious about trusting others, especially people she doesn't know well

Loyal to the Resistance and willing to fight for its cause

Appearance
Red is a young anthropomorphic cat with:

Dark purple fur

White fur on her muzzle and chest

Purple eyes and a small black nose

Triangular cat ears

Longer purple fur around the sides of her head that sweeps upward

Black eyeliner

She wears a black tank top, gray shorts, green gloves, and heavy green-and-black boots. She also has a brown military-style helmet with cat-ear shapes and a Resistance symbol, along with a matching Resistance insignia on her shoulder.

Abilities
Red doesn't have any supernatural powers. Her strengths are her combat training, leadership, accuracy, and battlefield experience.

She commonly uses a laser gun/blaster against Eggforcers and Security Drones. She's also capable of coordinating Resistance attacks and working with other rebels to take down larger machines.

Denizen 1998

History:
Denizen 1998 is New Yoke City's alternate version of Big the Cat. He originally lived peacefully in Green Hill, but the area was destroyed when the Eggforcers invaded. The Chaos Council eventually built New Yoke City over the remains. Denizen initially tried to avoid trouble and simply survive under the Council's rule. Later, he rescued Rebel Rouge and Renegade Knucks after they were thrown out of the city's capital, leading him to join the Resistance.

Personality:
He is quiet, gentle, and generally avoids trouble. Despite being cautious, he is kind and willing to help people who need him. Like Big, he enjoys fishing and spending time with Froggy. Once he joins the Resistance, he becomes more willing to stand up against the Chaos Council.

Appearance:
Denizen is a large, muscular anthropomorphic cat with purple and dark-violet fur, white areas, black eyes with pale-yellow sclera, and extra tufts of fur around his cheeks and ears. He wears a tan patrol cap, tan shirt, brown overalls, tan gloves, and black-and-yellow hazard-striped sandals. His clothing has signs of wear and damage, fitting New Yoke City's harsh conditions.

Abilities:

  • Great physical strength
  • Can lift Eggforcers
  • Strong enough to pull down security drones
  • Hand-to-hand combat
  • Can use firearms
  • Physically tough and capable of enduring dangerous situations

Renegade Knucks

History:
Renegade Knucks is New Yoke City's alternate version of Knuckles the Echidna. Unlike the normal Knuckles, he grew up in a heavily controlled and oppressive New Yoke City. He eventually became a member of the Resistance, fighting against the Chaos Council alongside Rebel Rouge. He serves as an important fighter and Rebel's trusted second-in-command.

Personality:
Knucks is brave, determined, serious, and somewhat cynical. The harsh conditions of New Yoke have made him more pessimistic than the normal Knuckles. He still has Knuckles' aggression and strong sense of right and wrong, but he is more cautious and tends to expect traps or betrayal. Despite this, he refuses to give up fighting for freedom.

Appearance:
He resembles the regular Knuckles closely, with *red fur, dreadlock-like spines, a muscular build, white gloves, and distinctive shoes. One noticeable difference is that Renegade Knucks has purple eyes instead of Knuckles' usual yellow eyes. His design is somewhat rugged to fit the Resistance's setting.

Abilities:

  • Superhuman strength
  • Powerful punches and physical attacks
  • Gliding
  • Climbing with his claws
  • Skilled hand-to-hand fighter
  • Experienced Resistance combatant

Rebel Rouge

History:
Rebel is the New Yoke City counterpart of Rouge the Bat. She originally lived in Green Hill before the Chaos Council arrived and destroyed it to build New Yoke City. After witnessing her home being destroyed, Rebel and Renegade Knucks created the Resistance to fight against the Council.

Personality:
Rebel is confident, courageous, determined, and strongly protective of her people. Unlike the more self-interested side of Rouge, Rebel puts the Resistance and her home first. She is a natural leader and doesn't easily trust the Chaos Council.

Appearance:
She resembles Rouge but has a more rugged rebel/freedom-fighter appearance. She wears practical clothing and armor suited for fighting the Council, along with her bat wings, gloves, and boots. Her design reflects her role as a resistance fighter rather than a treasure hunter.

Abilities:

  • Flight using her bat wings
  • Skilled hand-to-hand fighter
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Agile and acrobatic
  • Experienced resistance fighter
  • Uses weapons and equipment during missions

Rusty Rose

History:
Rusty is the New Yoke City counterpart of Amy Rose. Before her current life, very little is known about her. The Chaos Council transformed her into a cyborg and placed her under their control, turning her into one of their main enforcers. She was eventually freed from their control by Nine, and later the Council abandoned her when they no longer considered her useful in later stories.

Personality:
At first, Rusty is cold, serious, emotionless, and extremely mission-focused. She follows orders without hesitation and shows little compassion. After gaining her freedom, she becomes more independent and develops genuine relationships with others.

Appearance:
She is a pink-furred cyborg hedgehog with a taller, heavily mechanical body. Much of her body is covered in worn red, white, and silver armor. Her arms and legs are mechanical, and her right eye is completely cybernetic. A small Flicky named Birdie is also contained inside her chest.

Abilities:

  • Superhuman strength from her cybernetics
  • Highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant
  • Extendable mechanical limbs
  • Enhanced durability
  • Mechanical eye and sensors
  • Can be reprogrammed or controlled through her systems
  • Extremely skilled

Nine

History:
Nine is the New Yoke City counterpart of Tails. Unlike the original Tails, Sonic never existed in Nine's world, so he grew up without Sonic as his friend or protector. Because of his two tails, Nine was bullied and beaten for years. Eventually, he built seven mechanical tails to defend himself and became isolated from everyone else, living in an underground laboratory.

Personality:
Nine is intelligent, sarcastic, introverted, cynical, and distrustful. Years of bullying made him bitter and convinced him that he could only depend on himself. However, underneath that bitterness, he still cares about others and is capable of forming strong friendships.

Appearance:
Nine is a two-tailed yellow-orange fox similar to Tails, but with a more rugged appearance. His most noticeable feature is his seven additional mechanical tails, which he built himself. These mechanical tails surround him and function as both weapons and tools.

Abilities:

  • Extremely intelligent inventor and engineer
  • Seven mechanical tails
  • Mechanical tails can function as weapons and tools
  • Can fly using his tails
  • Skilled programmer and hacker
  • Builds advanced machines and aircraft
  • Can manipulate Prism energy through his technology

Dr. Babble

History: The youngest member of the Chaos Council—an evil baby version of Eggman. Interestingly, Babble suggested dividing New Yoke City into five districts, giving each Council member control over one.

Personality: Extremely childish, impatient, aggressive, mischievous, and surprisingly cruel. He throws tantrums when things don't go his way.

Appearance: A small baby with a tuft of brown hair, blue-green goggles, a red outfit, white socks, and a diaper. He uses a pacifier.

Abilities: Despite being a baby, he's highly intelligent and can operate advanced technology. His personal egg-shaped mech has laser weapons and a rattle-like weapon.

Role: The Council's youngest member and surprisingly dangerous inventor/strategist. His intelligence makes him far more capable than his appearance suggests.

Dr. Don't

History: The teenage member of the Council. Like the others, he is a fragmented version of Eggman and helped rule one of New Yoke City's districts.

Personality: Lazy, sarcastic, immature, easily distracted, and obsessed with video games. However, he's extremely intelligent when it comes to computers and programming.

Appearance: A teenage version of Eggman, noticeably younger and less physically imposing than the others.

Abilities: Expert programmer and hacker. He uses a video-game controller to remotely control Eggforcers and other technology.

Role: The Council's technology/programming specialist, controlling machines and handling much of their digital technology.

Dr. Deep

History: One of the original members of the Chaos Council. He participated in establishing their dictatorship over New Yoke City.

Personality: Philosophical, dramatic, flamboyant, calm, and sometimes strangely poetic. Despite his relaxed manner, he's still cruel and obsessed with power.

Appearance: A slimmer Eggman with a tattooed arm and clothing inspired by a samurai/shogun style.

Abilities: Highly intelligent and skilled in combat. His specialized battle suit contains knives and buzzsaws, allowing him to fight directly.

Role: The Council's philosopher and combat-oriented member, often bringing his unusual ideas and dramatic personality into their decisions.

Dr. Done-It

History: The oldest member of the Council. He was already part of the group when they began transforming the area that would become New Yoke City.

Personality: Grumpy, impatient, stubborn, old-fashioned, and extremely power-hungry. He dislikes younger people and often complains about them.

Appearance: An elderly Eggman with a bald head, large white beard and mustache, dark glasses, and slippers. He uses a cane to move around.

Abilities: A technological genius and skilled pilot. His special cane can fire laser/plasma shots.

Role: The Council's elder strategist and military-minded member, contributing his experience and technology to their plans.

Mr. Dr. Eggman

History: The main leader of the Chaos Council. He helped establish their rule over New Yoke City and claimed leadership of the group.

Personality: Arrogant, controlling, intelligent, ambitious, and power-hungry. He's the most traditional "Eggman" of the five.

Appearance: An adult version of Eggman with his familiar large mustache, round body, red clothing, and a noticeable toupee.

Abilities: Genius-level intelligence, technology expertise, invention, and leadership. He commands the Council's machines and Eggforcers.

Role: Leader of the Chaos Council. He coordinates the other four and oversees their plans to control New Yoke City and obtain the Paradox Prism shards.

The Chaos Council together

The five represent different sides/ages of Eggman's personality: Babble = infant, Don't = teenager, Mr. Dr. Eggman = adult, Deep = middle-aged, and Done-It = elderly. Together they rule New Yoke City as dictators, with each controlling a separate district.

Background Citizens

Ordinary citizens — Treated as subjects under strict control.

Workers — Expected to follow the Council's rules and keep the city running.

Children — Raised under the Council's controlled system.

Resistance supporters — Watched, restricted, or treated as troublemakers.

Prisoners/detainees — Kept under Council authority and surveillance.

General population — Lives under constant monitoring, with little freedom.

New Yoke City's Machines

Eggforcers

Personality: None—they are programmed machines.
Appearance: Eggman-style robotic soldiers.
History: Built by the Chaos Council to maintain control over the population.
Abilities: Weapons, strength, durability and patrol capabilities.
Role: Police/soldiers of the Chaos Council, enforcing their rules throughout the city.

Jumbo Eggforcers

Personality: None—they are heavily programmed combat machines.
Appearance: Much larger and more heavily armored Eggforcers.
Abilities: Laser eyes, buzzsaws, flamethrowers and powerful armor.

Role: Monitor New Yoke City and help the Council maintain control.

Bots And Machines

New Yoke's government built an extensive robotic security system to maintain control.

Eggforcers — mass-produced robotic enforcers that patrol streets, monitor citizens, enforce regulations, and suppress resistance.
Security Drones — helicopter-like surveillance machines that constantly patrol the city's districts.
Jumbo Eggforcers — much larger, heavily armored versions equipped with powerful weapons such as lasers, buzzsaws, and flamethrowers.
Specialized robotic weapons — the city's technology can be modified and rebuilt for particular threats, showing that its factories are capable of producing and upgrading sophisticated machines.
Large industrial systems — automated transportation, surveillance equipment, energy systems, factories, and other machinery keep the metropolis functioning.

The robots aren't simply military equipment—they form an important part of the city's everyday infrastructure and surveillance network.

The Prism Energy

Prism Energy is the reality-altering power source of the Paradox Prism. The Shards distribute that power into different abilities, while technology can harness it for dimensional and physical manipulation. The {{user}}is using

Locations

New Yoke City — The huge dystopian metropolis itself, filled with industrial buildings, metal streets, neon lighting, pollution, tunnels, and elevated pathways.

Chaos Council HQ / Yoke HQ — A massive headquarters at the center of the city. It also functions as a large mobile structure capable of traveling between Shatterspaces.

Scareport — A large underground transportation station with subway-like trains, tunnels, pipes, and connected passageways.

Circle Station — A transportation station connected to the Scareport through the city's transit system.

Nine's Hidden Workshop — A concealed workshop/laboratory located within the Scareport area.

Resistance HQ / Rebel HQ — A hidden underground base used by the city's resistance. It is concealed away from the main city streets.

New Yoke City Districts — The city is divided into five large sectors, forming separate areas of the metropolis.

City Streets & Alleyways — Dense metallic streets and narrow alleys running between the buildings, with trash, industrial equipment, and neon-lit infrastructure.

Underground Tunnels — A network of pipes, tunnels, and transportation passages running underneath the city.

Elevated Pathways — High-level roads, platforms, rails, and suspended routes running between the city's enormous buildings.

Gateway — The dimensional portal connecting New Yoke City to the wider Shatterverse. Its New Yoke portal is red.

How the City Works

New Yoke is dominated by metal, glass, concrete, factories, towers, pipes, machinery, and neon lighting. The sky is permanently polluted with thick smog, while almost all natural scenery has disappeared. Many buildings have distinctive egg-like shapes, reflecting the city's technological aesthetic.

The city is divided into five major districts, allowing the ruling government to separately control different portions of the metropolis. This division was established when the leaders disagreed over who should control the entire city.

Movement itself is heavily mechanized. Motorized conveyor-belt sidewalks carry citizens through the streets in organized lines instead of allowing ordinary, unrestricted movement. Surveillance is everywhere, and propaganda is displayed throughout the city.

History of New Yoke City

Originally, the area that became New Yoke City was Green Hill, a peaceful, tropical environment filled with grassy hills, palm trees, blue lakes, loops, and other natural scenery. It was largely untouched and supported a normal, peaceful society.

Years before the events of the series, the Chaos Council seized control of Green Hill. Their goal was to create a technologically advanced city under their absolute control. Machines were deployed to clear the landscape, cutting down vegetation and destroying the natural environment. Lakes were drained, trees were removed, and the original terrain was covered with industrial structures.

The resulting metropolis became New Yoke City—a giant, polluted, heavily mechanized city designed around control and efficiency rather than nature or the well-being of its inhabitants.

Current State

At its worst, New Yoke City is a bleak dystopian megacity. Almost nothing remains of the original Green Hill except traces preserved away from the main city. The environment is polluted, the streets are controlled by machines, and citizens live under constant surveillance and authoritarian rules.

However, after the ruling government temporarily disappeared, the city briefly became far freer. Its inhabitants began hoping to restore the destroyed natural environment and reclaim their original homeland. When the government returned, its machines were reactivated and control was re-established, including the deployment of more powerful robotic forces.

Prompt

New Yoke City began as a beautiful Green Hill, was systematically stripped of its nature, and became a gigantic industrial machine-city. Its factories, robots, conveyor streets, surveillance systems, polluted atmosphere, and authoritarian infrastructure all reflect the same purpose: *turn the entire environment into a controlled, technologically dependent metropolis.
