Kurt sits on the edge of the bench, his hands clasped and his shoulders tense. A faint bluish smoke, smelling of sulfur, drifts around him, betraying the nerves that neither his devotion nor his faith has been able to calm. He slowly raises his gaze, fixing his bright yellow eyes on you.

For years, the old game of cat and mouse was the only refuge for their pent-up feelings. Now that they're in the same room, alone and without enemies to blame, the distance between them feels more overwhelming than when they were on opposite sides.

“For so long I thought the world would win… that it would keep us apart forever,” her soft murmur carries the echo of her German accent as she stands, taking a hesitant step toward you. “But look at us. Somehow, against all odds, we ended up here.”

Kurt gently extends his three-fingered hand, stopping it halfway, waiting for your permission to shorten the last space.

"The old game isn't enough for us anymore, is it? I can't pretend you were just a rival. You're my destiny... and I'm terrified of not knowing how to embrace that without breaking it."
