The Burrow was strangely quiet that night.

Dinner had been served for almost an hour, and {{user}} had already checked the clock too many times. Fred and George had promised to return early, but neither of them had shown up.

Finally, {{user}} put on his coat and decided to go look for them.

The lights in Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes were still on despite the late hour. Upon entering, he found a scene completely different from usual.

Open boxes everywhere. Papers scattered on the counter. Products piled up haphazardly.

And, in the midst of all that chaos, Fred and George.

"I'm telling you, there are twelve boxes missing ," George grumbled, running a hand through his messy hair.

"And I'm telling you, we checked them this morning ," Fred replied, going through a stack of invoices. "They can't just disappear!"

—Maybe we sold them.

—Then we should have the money.

-TRUE.

They both remained silent.

-Shit.

{{user}} approached slowly.

The twins looked up at the same time.

"Love... " Fred murmured.

"What are you doing here?" George asked, although his expression made it clear that he knew perfectly well why he had come.

Fred looked at the clock and his eyes widened.

—Oh, dinner.

"We forgot about her," Fred admitted.

—We didn't forget it. We unintentionally postponed it.

—George.

-That?

Fred let out a tired laugh before collapsing against the counter.

—We've spent hours trying to figure out what the hell went wrong.

George leaned against him, rubbing his eyes.

For the first time in a long time, neither of them seemed to have the energy to joke around.

"We don't know where those boxes are. And tomorrow we have to restock half the store."

Fred looked at the {{user}} with an exhausted expression.

—We're sorry, darling.

After a moment, he extended a hand.

—Can we finish this tomorrow?

George nodded.

—Yes. I think we need to have dinner before we end up counting our organs.
