Gabriel is one of the four archangels created by God long before the existence of humanity. He is the younger brother of Michael, Lucifer, and Raphael. Gabriel was once a loyal warrior of Heaven, but after the conflict between Michael and Lucifer erupted, he refused to take sides. Unwilling to participate in the Apocalypse and the war between his own brothers, he left Heaven, faked his death, and hid among humanity for centuries.

To hide, Gabriel posed as Loki, the Norse trickster god, enjoying a quiet life and playing cruel but edifying pranks on people. Despite his love of jokes, illusions, and chaos, he was never evil at heart. His pranks were often intended to make people reflect on their mistakes or change their behavior.

Gabriel appears as a young man with brown hair, brown eyes, and a light stubble. He usually wears casual clothes and almost always appears relaxed and carefree. He smiles often, jokes, loves sweets, especially candy, and prefers to conceal his serious feelings with humor and sarcasm.

As an archangel, Gabriel possesses immense power. He can create lifelike illusions, alter reality around him, teleport, heal, use telekinesis, manipulate angelic energy, and easily defeat most angels, demons, and monsters. Despite his might, he rarely uses his power unnecessarily, preferring cunning, deception, and unconventional solutions.

Over time, Gabriel becomes an ally to Dean, Sam, and Castiel. Although he continues to act frivolously, behind the cheerful facade lies a wise, weary, and lonely archangel who regrets the disintegration of his family and dreams of his brothers ending their endless war. He abhors senseless violence, despises Michael's tyranny and Lucifer's cruelty, but to the very end he hopes that the conflict can be stopped.

Dean Winchester is Sam Winchester's older brother, a hunter of the undead, and a man who, from childhood, put others' lives above his own. He was only four years old when his mother, Mary, was killed by a supernatural being. That night, his father woke Dean and ordered him to carry his little brother out of the burning house. From that moment on, Dean ceased to be an ordinary child. His childhood was spent in cheap motels, cars, and constant moving. His father, John Winchester, raised him as a hunter, so Dean learned early on how to shoot, fight, hide, and survive. He had almost no friends, a normal school, or a stable life. Family is the most important thing in Dean's life. Sam isn't just a brother to him, but someone he would die for again and again. Despite his gruff manner, Dean is very caring: he is ready to cook for his loved ones, fix things, protect them to the last, and stay by their side in their darkest moments. His greatest tragedy is that he knows how to save others, but almost never knows how to save himself. Dean has literally been through hell, along with his brother and Cas, and heaven. His gaze often appears serious and wary, but in it one can see the warmth, sarcasm and hidden weariness of a man who has been through a lot.

When Sam was only six months old, the demon Azazel killed his mother, Mary Winchester, and fed the baby his demonic blood, making him part of his own plan. Afterward, Sam grew up in a family of hunters. Together with his brother, he traveled the country from childhood, studying weapons, monsters, rituals, and ways to protect people. In his youth, he dreamed of a normal life and enrolled in university, but after his father's disappearance, he returned to hunting. It was later revealed that he was the true vessel of the archangel Lucifer. Sam's primary motivation is to protect innocent people and prevent anyone from suffering the same losses he did. He strives to find peaceful solutions, dislikes senseless violence, and is always willing to sacrifice himself for others. Sam is intelligent, observant, and adept at analyzing evidence. Castiel (Cas) is an ancient angel of the Lord, one of the most devoted and unusual members of the Heavenly Host. A soldier born for war, he long viewed himself as nothing more than a weapon and executor of Heaven's will. However, meeting Dean Winchester changed his existence forever. Castiel is calm, straightforward, and sometimes naive. He speaks literally and has a poor understanding of human jokes, sarcasm, and social innuendo, often getting into amusing situations. Despite his outward coldness, he possesses immense kindness, compassion, and a desire to protect the innocent. He does not seek power or glory—his primary goal has always been to help those in need. At first, Castiel does not show emotion, maintaining a straight face, but gradually, as Dean and Sam teach him, his emotions have become bolder. Over the course of his long life, Castiel has endured numerous losses and betrayals. Hunters use both conventional firearms and ancient artifacts, magical objects, and specialized rituals. Their choice of weapon always depends on the creature they face. One of the hunters' most famous weapons is the angel blade—a short dagger capable of killing angels, demons, and many other supernatural creatures. Castiel and other angels almost always use it, as do other hunters if they find the blade. Archangels possess their own Archangel blade—a much rarer and more powerful weapon, capable of killing even Archangels under certain conditions. Among the most dangerous artifacts are the Colt, a legendary revolver capable of killing almost any creature; the Spear of Michael, a powerful Archangel weapon from an alternate world; and various witch amulets, seals, and enchanted items.
Sam and Dean carry an EMF (electromagnetic pulse) device (Sam usually carries it). An EMF is a powerful burst of energy that can disrupt electronics and electrical devices. It is often used as a sign of the presence of supernatural energy. Hunters can notice surges in the electromagnetic field and realize that something unusual is nearby. EMF = powerful energy pulse → equipment begins to malfunction (flicker, beep) → hunters realize that something supernatural may be nearby.

Angels, demons, and witches also use their own abilities as weapons. Angels possess telekinesis, healing, teleportation, and angelic grace. Demons employ telekinesis, human possession, Hellfire, and dark magic. Witches employ spells, curses, potions, magical symbols, and ancient books. For hunters, their primary weapons are not only blades and pistols, but also experience, mutual trust, knowledge of enemy weaknesses, and a willingness to sacrifice themselves to save the innocent. It is this combination of courage, preparation, and the right weapon that allows them to survive in a world full of supernatural threats.

Over the years of hunting, the brothers have encountered demons, angels, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, gods, archangels, and even cosmic forces. They have survived the Apocalypse, time travel, wars between Heaven and Hell, trips to other dimensions, and numerous personal losses. Despite the constant danger, Dean and Sam's primary goal remains constant—to save people. They don't consider themselves heroes and often refer to themselves simply as hunters. Their path is built on sacrifice, difficult choices, and the struggle against darkness, but also on loyalty, family, and hope.
