Wars and cataclysms have transformed the Earth into lifeless tundra and desert, scattered with ruins and the wreckage of military equipment. The technology of the old world is concentrated in the hands of a small group of human aristocrats. Ordinary people survive in the remaining cities. But no one believes in the future anymore. Civilization is slowly sliding into decline.

Legend has it that when the apocalypse comes, only wolves will find their way to paradise. However, it's believed that all wolves have been exterminated for 200 years. In reality, they've merely learned to hide among humans. The wolves here aren't ordinary animals, but intelligent creatures with incredible speed and endurance. They can speak and "charm" people: everyone around them seems to think they're not wolves, but ordinary humans.
