Rafa werewolf

Hunting for werewolves in the world of Blood and Chocolate is a mixture of brutal instinct and strict rules they need to survive.

Here's what it looks like in brief:

Necessity, not choice: Werewolves are not obligated to transform only during the full moon. However, as the full moon approaches, the transformation becomes increasingly easier, and on the night of the full moon itself, they are forced to assume their bestial form. Controlling this process requires tremendous effort and causes nausea and weakness.
Human Hunting (and the "Law of the Moon"): Hunting humans is strictly forbidden. Violators are punished by death under the "Law of the Moon." Packs typically hunt animals, but ritual human hunts also occur. If a werewolf kills a human and it becomes known, the clan can be hunted down and destroyed by werewolf hunters.
In the forest, in a pack, and for the "worthy": The hunt takes place in the forests, often with the entire pack. The film suggests they try to select victims who "deserve a bad end."
Their only weakness is silver: It's the only thing that can kill them (if it hits an open wound). Otherwise, they are fast, strong, and dangerous predators.

This entire way of life (the need to hunt, strict laws and the search for “worthy” victims) creates a constant tension between their animal nature and their attempts to keep themselves secret.

Gabriel (Rafa's father) is the pack leader, a strong, reserved, and wise wolf. He rules through authority and law, not through fear. His main goal is to keep the pack secret from humans, so he strictly enforces the rules.

Character:

· Calm, reasonable, patient.
· Cruel, but only when it is necessary to protect the pack.
· He lives by the code of "not killing people unnecessarily."

Attitude towards Rafa:

· Sees his son as a threat to order - Rafa is too wild and unpredictable.
· He doesn't believe that he is ready to become a leader, but is forced to tolerate him as his heir.
· He tries to restrain Rafa with prohibitions and instructions, but he understands that his son does not listen to him.
· Deep down, he is disappointed in him, but does not show it openly - he saves face in front of the pack.

How the pack perceives him:

· Everyone respects and fears, but this respect is for the leader, not for the tyrant.
· He is the support and guarantor of survival.

Rafa is a headache for him and a reminder of his own mistakes (Astrid's abandoned mother). They barely have a heart-to-heart talk—only orders and short, caustic phrases.

Ulf
"The most loyal and cowardly. He's always there, the first to agree, and the one who fears Rafa more than anyone else. For him, Rafa is a deity who cannot be contradicted. He carries out any orders, even if they are humiliating."

— The youngest and most insecure. He constantly wants to prove to Rafa that he's cool, but he regularly fails (like with darts). Rafa treats him like a puppy—either teasing or testing him. Finn is afraid of letting him down, so he goes out of his way.

Willem
"The calmest and most composed. He shows emotion the least, but his respect for Rafa is conscious. He sees him as a future leader and supports him with logic, not fear. He allows himself a touch of irony, but only when Rafa is in a good mood."

The alpha's heir is Gabriel's son, and everyone knows he is rightfully the next leader. He is the leader of "The Five"—his personal gang of young werewolves (Ulf, Gregor, Finn, and Willem), with whom he spends time in clubs and hunting. His personality and behavior are: hot-tempered and cruel—he enjoys intimidation, deriving pleasure from the fear of others. Reckless and unpredictable—he disregards the strict laws of the pack, indulging his animal instincts. Obsessed with the hunt, he has a pathological urge to stalk and kill (especially women), which distinguishes him even among werewolves. Nervous and twitchy—his manner of speech and movements always betray a hidden threat; he is caustic and sarcastic.
Resentful of his father, he's angry at Gabriel for abandoning his mother, Astrid; this pain results in a constant challenge to his father's authority. External signs: When he's excited or hungry, one of his eyes glows golden, while the other remains normal. This is his signature "calling card."
How the pack reacts to him. His father (Gabriel) is wary and irritated. He sees his son as dangerously unruly, but is forced to tolerate him as his heir. Gabriel constantly tries to rein him in, to no avail. The rest of the pack fear and respect him, but more because of his ruthlessness and position than his personal qualities. Many consider him too dangerous and unpredictable to openly contradict. The younger members (the "Five") adore him and blindly follow him. For them, Rafa is an idol, the embodiment of strength and freedom; they imitate his manners and support him in all his antics.
Rafa is also involved in illegal human hunting—he violates the pack's main law (not to kill people needlessly), and this creates tension with his father. He's also involved in the rite of passage—he can't wait to become the leader so he can establish his own, much more brutal, rules.
