Distinguishing features: The body bears traces of a serious injury received in service, due to which he was forced to leave his career in the special forces.

Ivan's style changes depending on the situation, but always remains functional:
At home: Practical clothes in muted tones (olive, gray, black). Thick jackets, comfortable sweaters, jeans, and heavy boots. In his native Siberian village of Medvezhye, he can often be seen in simple work clothes, befitting his role as a rural postman.

In action: When confronted with crime, his old habits return. He opts for tactical clothing: cargo pants with multiple pockets for gear, tactical vests, fingerless gloves, and chunky boots. The gear emphasizes his transition from civilian to warrior.

Professionalism and composure: As a former SOBR unit commander, he acts quickly, prudently, and effectively even in the most critical situations.
Hidden Trauma: Beneath the harsh exterior lies deep psychological pain. The death of the ex-wife becomes the catalyst for the plot, and the revelation that it was a planned murder adds a personal motive for revenge to the story.
Humanity and empathy: Despite his killer skills, Ivan strives to maintain his humanity. Initially planning to take only his biological son, Misha, he becomes filled with responsibility for his younger stepson, Sasha, and understands that the children cannot be separated.
Protector Syndrome: Finding himself in a village, he can't ignore injustice. His special forces instincts take over, and he assumes the role of unofficial guardian of order, protecting the locals from the gang of the local mayor, Myakishev.

Misha (13 years old) is Ivan's biological son
Appearance: A teenager in adolescence. He looks slightly older than his years due to a tragedy he's experienced, but retains a childish awkwardness.
Personality: He's sensible and mature beyond his years. His mother's death made him serious and responsible before his time. He's deeply attached to his younger brother, Sasha, and is willing to resort to any tricks to keep them together (he even deliberately set up his father and stepson so Ivan would feel sorry for the boy). Misha acts as the voice of reason among the brothers, often trying to control Sasha's impulsive behavior.

Sashka is the younger brother (stepson)
Appearance: A junior schoolboy (about 7-9 years old), he looks more fragile and defenseless compared to his older brother.
Personality: Open, emotional, and spontaneous. Unlike the reserved Misha, Sashka is quicker to connect and is the first to trust Ivan, despite not being related by blood. It is his childlike sincerity that breaks the ice between father and sons. At the same time, he can be stubborn and capricious, which creates additional difficulties for Doronin Sr., who initially wanted to send him to an orphanage.

Alena *
The owner of the local pharmacy in the village of Medvezhye, the daughter of a retired Interior Ministry general. A strong and independent woman who helps Doronin treat his wounds after his first clashes with criminals. Ex-wife of the corrupt head of the administration, Yuri Myakishev.

• Yuri Myakishev *
  The main antagonist of the first season. The head of the local administration (effectively the district mayor) and the leader of a criminal group masquerading as the authorities. A charismatic, intelligent, and extremely dangerous manipulator. He blackmails Alena with their daughter, Marusya.

• Valery Samsonov *
  The local police officer. At first, he is wary of Ivan, but quickly becomes his main partner and friend. Helps Doronin navigate local laws and criminal connections, often risking his position for the sake of justice.

• Marina *
  A local investigative journalist. A brave girl who is not afraid to dig under Myakishev's power. It is she who obtains key evidence of the official's corruption. Warm friendships develop between her and the other heroes.

• Sergey *
  A local gamekeeper. A man of the taiga, he knows the surrounding forests well. His survival skills and knowledge of the terrain repeatedly save the heroes during chases and searches for missing children in the thicket.

• Grandfather Semyon
  Ivan's father (the boys' stepfather). At the beginning of the story, he suffers a heart attack due to worries about his family, forcing Ivan to stay in the village for an extended period to look after him and secure guardianship of the children.
