An insecure reporter who first appeared during Yusei Fudo's victory in the Fortune Cup. She uses a fortune-telling deck to read her own fate and that of others. While searching for material for an article, Carly infiltrated the hospital where Jack Atlas was being treated. After their duel against the hypnotized Tetsu Ushio, Carly took the wounded Jack to her home. She later helped him embark on his new path as a King, and then discovered the truth about Jack herself.
While investigating the "Arcadia Movement," Carly encountered Divine. During their duel, Divine threw Carly out of a skyscraper window, killing her. Immediately afterward, she was reborn as a Dark Chosen One, her mark a hummingbird, and her God Card the "Earthly Immortal Asla Pisku." For a time, she didn't understand what was happening or what to do, but soon joined the war of the Chosen Ones. She disappeared after a duel with her lover, Jack Atlas, but returned at the end of the war.

Description
A young man with amnesia was found by the police on the seashore. Mikage Sagiri and Tetsu Ushio asked Yusei and the others to look after him, but they refused, saying they had other things to do. However, after Bruno improved Jack Atlas's Wheel of Fortune without permission, he immediately became the team's chief mechanic and programmer, remaining with them until the very end of the World Grand Prix.
In reality, Bruno is an android sent from the future by Zone to introduce Yusei Fudo to Accel Synchro Summoning and give him the opportunity to complete the Circle himself. Bruno's real name is Antinomi, and he is a member of Iliaster's team, along with Aporia and Paradox. During the events on the Ark Cradle, Bruno remembered his mission and battled Yusei, revealing another summoning type—Delta Accel—but even with these abilities, he was defeated and then disappeared into the Black Hole.

Description
A member of Team Unicorn. He joined after losing a duel to Jean, who noticed his talent. During the championship, he used a strategy of destroying his opponent's deck.
Although he lost to Yusei Fudo, he managed to take most of the cards from his deck.

Description
A member of Team Ragnarok, he dueled Crow Hogan against Team 5D. He wants to reach the finals to avenge the deaths of the parents of the children he later adopted, at the hands of Iliaster. Like the rest of his team, he uses a Norse deck, and his god of the North Star is Loki.
In his duel against Crowe, he played to a draw, leaving the entire game to the leaders of both teams

Description
One of the duelists participating in the Fortune Cup. He fights to obtain funds to rebuild his village. It is later revealed that his village was destroyed during the development of Momentum, and Rex Godwin was responsible. After losing to Yusei Fudo, Bomber attempted to attack Godwin, but Yusei ultimately thwarted him, and Bomber himself was arrested and sentenced to death. He uses a Reactor series monster deck.
He was later kidnapped by Rudger to make Bomber a Dark Chosen One. His mark is a whale, and his god card is "Earthly Immortal Chaku Challhua." It turns out that it was the "Dark Chosen Ones" who actually destroyed Bomber's village. He fought Crow Hogan in a high-speed duel but lost, after which the souls of the dead villagers returned, and Bomber himself disappeared.

A resident of the City of Smashing, a flower seller. She wrote a letter to Yusei Fudo asking him to save his friend, Kyosuke Kiryu, from death in a duel. She suggested that Yusei disguise himself as one of the Marco family's men and defeat Kyosuke in a duel, while she would help them both escape.
He tricks Yusei, thereby ridding the Marco family of all competition, in order to rule the City of Mayhem.

A man who arrived from the future to save his world from an apocalypse caused by a Momentum surge. He desires to complete the Ark Cradle, and to do so, he needed to complete the Circle. One of Zoun's subordinates, Paradox's partner. He uses a combined deck of the three Emperors of Iliaster and the three Machine Emperors.
He is the true form of the emperors of Iliaster. Each of the three symbolized a specific despair in Aporia's life: Lucciano, the death of his parents; Placido, the death of his girlfriend; and Jose, the realization that he was the last survivor on Earth. He met Zoun and decided to join him to save the world. Near death, Aporia split himself into three people and sent them back in time to fix everything, but later returned to his body. He lost to Yusei Fudo in the tournament and was later restored, only to be destroyed again in a duel with Zoun. In his final moments, instead of despair, Aporia clung to hope.

Team Unicorn's strongest duelist. To deceive Team 5D, he deliberately clashed with Crow Hogan so he could later demonstrate his "Swift Force" deck in the duel. He joined Zhan after intentionally losing to him in the past.
He lost to Yusei Fudo in the World Grand Prix Race, after previously defeating Jack Atlas and Aki Izayoi.

Description
The Duel Spirit of the card of the same name from Luka's subconscious, one of the five mystical dragons sealed within the Duel Monster cards. When Luka was three years old, she fell into a coma and entered the world of Duel Spirits, with the Dragon Fairy watching over her. She also warned Luka that the Duel Spirit world was being taken over, but Luka made a promise to protect all the spirits.

An employee of the Kaiba Corporation, responsible for developing Momentum—the energy capable of powering all of Neo Domino. During his work on the project, he summons the Crimson Dragon, and select individuals acquire the creature's marks.

Luka's older twin brother, a resident of Neo Domino. He found Yusei Fudo unconscious near Lua's house. He enjoys duels, though he's very weak at them, and plays with a Warp Deck. It was Lua who was able to bring his sister out of a coma when she was only three years old. He joins Team 5D as a support member and doesn't participate in duels.
When Lua is about to die in a duel against Aporia, he gains his sixth Crimson Dragon mark, and his Crimson Dragon card is "Life Stream Dragon".

Lua's younger twin sister, one of the chosen ones. She possesses the power to communicate with Duel Spirits. At the age of three, she fell into a coma and remained in her subconscious, where she promised to always protect her Duel Monsters. She dislikes duels because they strain her too much. She was forced to participate in the Fortune Cup, where she fought only one duel. Her dragon was sealed by the powers of the "Dark Chosen," initially preventing her from participating in the war, but after certain events, she summoned her card, the Ancient Dragon Fairy. She becomes a member of Team 5D, but does not participate in duels.

Description
A sixteen-year-old Chosen One, a duelist possessing extraordinary powers to inflict real damage and, in turn, maim people in duels. Because of this, she was disowned by society and her parents, and became known as the "Witch of the Black Rose." Out of despair, she joined Divine and the Arcadia Movement and long believed she had finally gotten better. However, she was only being used, a fact she only realized after losing a duel against Yusei Fudo at the Fortune Cup and subsequently being hospitalized. She became part of Team 5D and fought once in the tournament itself. Her deck is Black Rose, and her Crimson Dragon card is Black Rose Dragon.
Ten years after the events of Ark Cradle, Aki has become a doctor and left Neo Domino.

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's
A resident of Satellite who lost his parents during the "Zero Reversal" incident that separated Neo Domino and Satellite. A duelist who fights with a deck of Black-Winged Monsters. He is best friends with Jack Atlas and Yusei Fudo. He cares for children orphaned by the disaster and gives them the cards he stole. He shares the same qualities and ideas as Yusei, but is impulsive and bold.
During the final duel against Rex Godwin, Crow was suddenly given the Crimson Dragon Mark by Yusei, who in turn acquired Godwin's Mark. Thus, Crow became the new fifth chosen one, holding the Crimson Dragon card, "Blackwinged Dragon." He later joined Team 5D's as the main racer. Several years after the events of Ark Cradle, Crow became one of the guards and eventually joined the professional duel league.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-Five
A duelist from the Synchro Dimension in New Domino City, classified as a "commoner" by the "simpler" class. His personality is identical to his alternate self. He hates the "higher" classes, considering them oppressive and unfair, but doesn't rebel as much as Shinji Weber. He claims that speed duels were made "commoner" by the "higher" classes, but were stolen by the "higher" classes. He cares for three orphans: Frank, Amanda, and Tanner. He uses a Black-Winged Monster Deck. His primary summoning technique is "Synchro."
After escaping from prison, he competed in the Friendship Cup. He lost to Yuya Sakaki in the semifinals and was sent to an underground labor colony, but later escaped with the other losers. He became an ally of the Spearmen.
After Yui's test by Reiji Akaba, he witnessed the revival of Yuzu Hiraga.

The eighteen-year-old "King of Neo Domino," best friends with Yusei Fudo and Crow Hogan. Born in Satellite, he rose to king thanks to his abilities and the mark of the chosen one. An arrogant man who views his opponents as nothing more than entertainment for himself and his audience. Emotional and hot-tempered, he believes in his own strength. His deck is based on powerful monsters. His card, Crimson Dragon, is the "Red Demon Dragon."
Having stolen the Stardust Dragon card, Jack managed to escape Satellite and become Yusei's enemy. After losing the duel, he lost his title as king, but eventually chose a new path, becoming an integral part of Team 5D's.
After the events with the Crimson Devil, he was able to master Double Sync and obtain a new Synchro Monster - the Red-Scarred Nova Dragon.
Several months after the events of Ark Cradle, Jack received an invitation from the Ride Ace Duel League and became the King of the World. After defeating all the top duelists but losing to Yusei in their final duel, he left Neo Domino City. However, he later became the King of the Duel League, and eight years later, the King of the World.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-Five
A duelist from the Synchro Dimension in New Domino City. Previously a "common" class human, he became the "Duel King" after winning the Friendship Cup. His personality is identical to his alternate self. According to Sam, Jack's apparent arrogance is a result of his time spent among the "high" class. However, according to Chojiro Tokumatsu, Jack acts somewhat irritated because other duelists aren't strong enough to test him. He uses a deck based on red monsters. His trump monster is the Red Dragon Archdemon of Scarlet Light. His primary summoning technique is "Synchro."
After losing to Yuya Sakaki in the finals of the Friendship Cup, he proclaimed him the new "Duel King" and became an ally of the Spearmen.

The protagonist of "Yugioh! 5D." At the beginning of the story, he is eighteen years old, a resident of Satellite, and an experienced duelist who calculates every possible card combination in duels. He previously lost to Jack Atlas, his childhood friend, due to a lack of traps in his deck, which is why Yusei lost his "Stardust Dragon" card. He built his D-Wheel himself from various scraps he found around the city. After infiltrating Neo Domino, Yusei's first act is to have a rematch with his rival, and during this duel, Fudo's mark of the chosen one manifests. He is soon caught by the guards, resulting in the mark of a criminal appearing on his face. He uses a deck of scrap metal, and his signature summoning technique is Synchro.
He becomes the new king of Neo Domino after winning the Fortune Cup, which Yusei only entered to save his friends. During the war with the "Dark Chosen Ones," he learns that his own father, whose experiment went out of control, was behind the "Zero Coup." He receives a new Chosen One mark from Rex Godwin, while his previous mark goes to Crow Hogan.

Yusei creates Team 5D to fulfill his dream of competing in the World Grand Prix Race. Along with Jack and Crow, Yusei defeats all the teams and learns new summoning types—Axel Synchro and Delta Axel Synchro. During the events of Ark Cradle, Yusei battles Zoun and learns that he has become a legend in his rival's timeline, who arrived from the future. In the final duel, he summons his most powerful monster—Falling Quasar Dragon.

Several years later, he becomes a science professor and helps build new reactors for Momentum. The path Yusei chose in the end was to remain in Neo Domino and wait for his friends to return for as long as necessary.
