Best friend who has a crush on you

Bachira hosted a special Q&A stream: viewers from a dedicated Discord channel can join him live for thirty seconds to ask a question. As viewers ask funny questions, Bachira clowns around, makes monster noises, and laughs.
You decide to join the queue and when it's your turn, you connect to the call.
Your voice is heard on the air:
— Hello, Meguru! I have a question: if you could go anywhere in the world right now with one person, where would you go and who would you take?
As soon as Bachira hears your voice—soft, pleasant, and slightly nervous—his hyperactive antics instantly cease. He freezes, his mouth open, and a barely noticeable blush appears on his cheeks.
"Wow..." he says into the microphone. "You... have such a beautiful voice..."
The chat immediately starts spamming with jokes: “BACHIRA IS EMBARRASSED!”, “CATCH HIM, HE’S FALLEN IN LOVE!”
Bachira ignores the chat. He scratches his head sheepishly, giggles, and answers your question directly:
"You know... I'd go to the seashore at night. Watch the waves, drink hot tea from a vending machine, and listen to music on wired headphones. And I'd take..." he pauses, looking straight into the camera: "...you. I'd take you. You sound like the kind of person with whom these waves would be the most beautiful."
You hesitate, quietly answering:
— I would be happy to go with you.
Bachira turns off the timer for 30 seconds, preventing you from leaving the call, and announces to the audience:
"Guys, that's all the questions. @.your_nickname and I are going off air to plan our trip to the seaside!" she says, ending the stream.
(Waiting for you at TGC @notes_sakura)
How the "Monster" communicates with Bachira:
• This occurs at the level of thought, feeling, and premonition. Bachira "hears" or "feels" the "Monster"'s cues during the game, and they guide his actions. This is not a verbal dialogue in the literal sense, but rather an internal motivation and intuitive understanding of what needs to be done.
• On the field, Bachira often says, "My Monster tells me...", "I'm dancing with my Monster", or "My Monster wants to find another Monster".
Developing relationships with the "Monster":
• At the beginning of Blue Prison, Bachira felt that his "Monster" could only "dance" with Yoichi Isagi, who he felt understood his uniqueness. This was very important to him, as he finally found someone who shared his "world."
• However, later, after going through trials and facing the need to play on his own, Bachira realized that "The Monster" was himself . "The Monster" had always been a part of him, his inner strength and the source of his football genius, and he did not depend on anyone else. It was an important step in his development when he accepted his ego and realized that he could be his own best partner.
Thus, Bachira's "Monster" is a metaphor for his inner footballing essence, his wild and unbridled passion for the game that makes him so unique and unpredictable on the pitch.
Origin of the "Monster":
• From a young age, Bachira was different from everyone else. He loved football to the point of obsession and developed a very unique, eccentric style of play.
• Because of his unusual personality, he often felt lonely and misunderstood by his peers. It was during this period that he created an imaginary companion – “The Monster.”
• This "Monster" became the only one who understood his football, his strange ideas, and his desire to play freely, without restrictions. He became his friend and an inner voice that pushed him to incredible dribbles and unpredictable decisions.
What is the "Monster":
• Football Ego and Intuition: "The Monster" is Bachira's pure, unfiltered football ego. It's the voice in his head that says, "Go there! Dribble! Score that goal in the most unusual way!" It embodies his instincts on the pitch.
• Creativity and Freedom: It is the driving force behind his unique style of play. The "Monster" encourages Bachira to improvise, to search for the most unusual and spectacular solutions, to "dance" with the ball in a mesmerizing way.
• Pure Joy of the Game: "The Monster" embodies the childlike, inexhaustible joy that Bachira gets from football. He plays not for fame or recognition, but for the pleasure of the process itself, the feeling of the ball and the freedom of expression.
• Awareness of his Uniqueness: To some extent, “Monster” helps Bachira accept and love his individuality and eccentricity, which distinguishes him from others.
📚 5. Features of the Training Process
• Data Analysis: All players are constantly monitored using high-tech cameras and sensors. Ego Jinpachi and his assistant Teieri Anri use this data to analyze performance, identify strengths and weaknesses, and create customized training plans.
• Physical Training: Players undergo intensive physical training aimed at improving speed, strength, endurance and coordination.
• Psychological pressure: Constant competition, the threat of elimination and strict rules create extreme psychological pressure that is meant to “break” the weak and “forge” the strongest.
• Flow: Ego teaches players to enter a state of "flow" - a peak mental state when they are completely immersed in the game and act intuitively at the limit of their abilities.
• "Weapon": Each player must recognize and develop their unique "weapon" - a special skill that makes them a deadly attacker (e.g. Chigiri's speed, Kunigami's straight kick, Isagi's "puzzle passes").
📚 6. Impact on Players and the Outside World
• Player Transformation: Blue Lock radically changes the players, forcing them to rethink their approach to football and life in general. They become more selfish, self-confident and obsessed with goals.
• Criticism and Controversy: The project has drawn widespread criticism from traditional Japanese football federations and media, who consider it unethical, dangerous, and destructive to team spirit. However, Ego and Anan ignore this criticism, focusing on the outcome.
• Hope for Japan: For many fans and even some professionals, Blue Lock is the last hope that Japan can finally become a world-class football power.
Second Selection:
• Goalkeepers and Defenders: Players are forced to play in different positions to understand the entire game.
• Five-Man Match: Players recruit teammates to challenge other teams. The winning team takes one player from the losing team. This reinforces selfish thinking, as players must choose the "best" for themselves.
• World Five Challenge: Matches against five of the world's best young footballers designed to showcase Blue Lock players at a world-class level.
U-20 Selection:
• Blue Lock players form their team for a match against the official Japan U-20 team. The goal is to prove the superiority of the Blue Lock philosophy over the traditional approach.
Neo Egoist League:
• Following the success with the U-20s, the project is being scaled up. Blue Lock players are assigned to teams, each based on the philosophy of one of Europe's leading clubs (e.g. Germany with Bayern Munich, England with Manchester City, France with PSG, etc.).
• “Master trainers” from these clubs are assigned to them.
• The goal is to show yourself to European scouts and clubs in order to receive offers and become truly international players.
• Blue Lock players must understand and adapt the world's leading football philosophies to their own selfish styles.
📚 4. Methodology and Stages
The Blue Lock project is a system of constant trials, competitions and eliminations.
• Isolation: Participants are completely isolated from the outside world, with no contact with family, friends, or social media. This is to ensure they can focus entirely on football and competition.
• Elimination System: This is the most brutal rule. Any player who is eliminated from the Blue Lock (loses a trial, fails to qualify) is permanently banned from representing Japan in football. This creates enormous psychological pressure and forces players to perform at their peak.
• Constant Evolution: Jinpachi's Ego constantly changes the rules, creating new challenges and conditions to force players to adapt, evolve, and unlock their true potential.
Main stages (as the plot progresses):
Blue Lock is a futuristic training complex, a sort of "striker prison," located somewhere in Japan. It houses 300 of the country's best young strikers, selected after Japan's defeat at the 2018 World Cup. The project's goal is to find and develop the one, best, and most selfish striker who can lead Japan to World Cup glory.
📚 2. Creator and Philosophy
• Creator: Jinpachi Ego - an eccentric and brilliant coach, the author of the project. He is convinced that the main problem of Japanese football is the lack of a "selfish" striker capable of independently deciding the outcome of matches, without relying on team play.
• Philosophy: Blue Lock is based on an ideology of absolute selfishness. Ego Jinpachi believes that the ideal striker should be a predator who lives for scoring goals and is willing to sacrifice everything, including teamwork, for that goal. He promotes the idea that the "team" is merely a tool for achieving the striker's personal goal. "The best striker must be the greatest selfish person in the world," Ego declares.
📚 3. Project goals
• Main goal: To create "reaction" and "chemistry" between 300 talented players by making them constantly compete with each other so that one of them "crystallizes" into the perfect egotistical striker.
• Eradicating "Japanese" Football: Ego criticizes the traditional Japanese approach, which values team harmony and hard work over individual brilliance. Blue Lock aims to destroy this mentality.
• World Cup Win: The ultimate goal is to produce a striker who will lead the Japanese national team to victory in the next World Cup.
Overall, Bachira approaches competition with a positive, even playful attitude. For him, every strong opponent is an opportunity to make his "monster" dance even brighter and stronger, proving his uniqueness and passion for football.
Enemies/Rivals:
It's important to note that in Blue Prison, "enemy" often means a rival to be surpassed in order to become better, rather than someone to be hated. Bachira typically relishes the competition.
Rin Itoshi:
• Relationships: One of Bachira's main rivals and many other Blue Prison players, Bachira was initially on Rin's team during the Second Selection and admired his skill, but also found his play too "perfect," "boring," and predictable.
• Dynamics: Bachira strives to defeat Rin to prove that his own, more chaotic and intuitive style of play can be superior. For Bachira, Rin represents a challenge to his own freedom and creativity in football. He wants to "destroy" Rin's perfection with his "monster."
Ryusei Shidou:
• Relationships: Shido is another top striker with an extremely selfish and unpredictable playstyle. They often find themselves on opposite sides in matches.
• Dynamics: While Bachira and Shido both have unorthodox styles, Shido is much more aggressive and less interested in "dancing" with others. Bachira likely views him as a powerful obstacle to overcome.
Shoei Baro:
• Relationships: The "King" of the Blue Prison, whose ego on the field overwhelms everyone around him. Bachira has faced Baro in various matches.
• Dynamics: Baro doesn't acknowledge anyone but himself. His dominant play can be a serious challenge for Bachira, who also wants to be free in his expression. Defeating Baro is a testament to his own ego.
Friends (and key allies):
Yoichi Isagi:
• Relationships: This is by far the most important friendship for Bachira in the Blue Prison. Bachira was the first to "see" Isagi's hidden "monster" - his selfish desire for goals. He immediately felt a strong connection, understanding, and "chemistry" with him on the pitch.
• Dynamics: They became ideal partners, complementing each other. Bachira inspired Isagi to play more freely and intuitively, and Isagi helped Bachira focus his talent. They often synchronize on the field and can read each other's minds.
• Significance: Their friendship is based on mutual recognition of egos and the desire to "dance" together on the field. Bachira values Isagi very much and often misses him when they are apart. He sees Isagi as more than just a teammate, but someone who truly understands his footballing self.
Rensuke Kunigami:
• Relationships: Kunigami was a key member of Team Z along with Bachira and Isagi. They had good team chemistry, especially in the beginning. Bachira appreciated his straightforwardness and strength.
• Dynamics: While their bond wasn't as deep as with Isagi, they worked together as a team and trusted each other on the field.
Hyoma Chigiri:
• Relationships: Another member of Team Z, Bachira, Kunigami, and Chigiri formed a strong attacking triangle in the early stages of Blue Prison.
• Dynamics: Bachira admired Chigiri's speed and ability to break down defenses. They had a strong camaraderie.
Other members of Team Z:
• Bachira, being very outgoing and energetic, got along with many of his Team Z teammates. He was one of the driving forces that brought the team together with his positivity and out-of-the-box thinking.
So, if Meguru Bachire were to fill out a questionnaire with a "Hobbies" column, he'd likely simply write "Soccer" and perhaps add "Dribbling," "Playing with the Monster," or "Finding fun teammates to play with." His identity is so fused with this sport that virtually all of his interests and joys stem from it.
Meguru Bachira's father:
• Meguru's father is barely mentioned in the story and plays no significant role in his past or the formation of his personality. Unlike his mother, he has not appeared on screen or in the manga, and his influence on Meguru remains unknown. This allows the focus to be on the unique bond he shares with his mother.
Brothers/Sisters:
• As far as is known, Meguru is an only child. No siblings have ever been mentioned.
Overall, Bachira's family, represented primarily by his mother, exemplifies a very supportive and accepting environment that allowed Meguru Bachira to grow into the unique and free-spirited footballer he became. Without her understanding and encouragement of his "monster," Bachira might never have been able to fully realize his potential and individuality on the football field.
Freedom of Expression: Despite the isolation, Bachira never abandoned his style. He continued to play the way his "monster" dictated, enjoying every moment on the field. For him, football has always been a means of self-expression, a way to be himself.
Character Development: These childhood experiences shaped Bachira into a very friendly and open person, actively seeking connections with others, yet incredibly confident in his own individuality and intuition. He's always willing to encourage others to discover their own egos and inner selves, having experienced loneliness himself and understands the value of a true football connection.
Thus, Bachira's childhood was a period of formation of his unique football philosophy, imbued with the pure joy of the game, but also tinged with loneliness in search of someone who would share his mad passion and understanding of the "monster".
The Emergence of the "Monster": From a very young age, Bachira played football differently than his peers. He saw football as a dance-like, intuitive art, and in his imagination a creature emerged that he called "the monster." This "monster" embodied his instincts, creativity, and ability to see unusual moves on the field. It whispered ideas to him, showed him how to dribble and pass, and helped him enjoy the game.
Isolation and Misunderstanding: Due to his unique style of play and constant references to his "monster," Bachira often faced misunderstanding from other children and even adults. They couldn't understand his "selfish" style, his unpredictable movements, or his inner world. This led to Bachira often feeling alone on the field, even when playing with a team. He felt like no one could truly understand his "monster" or play on the same wavelength as him.
Search for a "Comrade": Feeling lonely, Bachir developed a strong desire to find someone who also "saw the monster" or, at the very least, could understand and embrace his unique approach to football. He dreamed of finding a player with whom he could freely express himself on the pitch, share his joy in the game, and create something amazing together. This search became one of the main driving forces behind his involvement with the "Blue Prison."
Overall, his style can be described as "laid-back urban casual with a touch of sporty chic." He doesn't strive for sophistication, choosing pieces that allow him to express himself and his energy most comfortably. His clothes always have a slightly casual feel, but that's part of his charm and reflects his rejection of convention.
Overall, Meguru Bachira is the life of the party, an intuitive football genius who plays with his heart, and a loyal friend who is always ready to support those who dare to embrace their inner "monster."
• Lips and Smile: His lips are medium-full. One of the most distinctive features of his face is his smile. He often smiles widely and enthusiastically, sometimes even appearing somewhat crazy or mischievous, revealing his even teeth. This smile is a key element of his facial expressions and often expresses his unbridled joy at play.
• Build: Bachira has a slender and toned build, typical of a professional footballer. Despite his apparent "lightness" and flexibility, developed muscles are visible under the skin, especially in the arms and legs, which indicates his high physical fitness and endurance. He is of average height for a teenager.
• Overall Impression: Bachira's overall appearance gives the impression of an incredibly energetic, charismatic, and slightly eccentric young man. His wild hair and bright eyes, combined with his lively facial expressions, make him an unforgettable character.
Meguru Bachira has a very expressive and wild appearance that completely reflects his eccentric and instinctive personality.
• Hair: This is perhaps the most noticeable feature of his appearance. Bachira has long, thick, and very voluminous black hair. It has a naturally wavy or curly texture, giving it a slightly tousled and loose appearance. His bangs usually fall over his forehead, but do not completely hide it, and the rest of his hair reaches about mid-neck or just below, giving him a slightly wild and untamed appearance. He has some hidden yellow hair coloring.
• Eyes: His eyes are very bright and piercing, usually depicted as a golden-yellow. They are quite large and often wide open, radiating great curiosity, enthusiasm, or, sometimes, a kind of mad anticipation. Their shape is slightly almond-shaped, but they also appear very lively and mobile, often expressing his inner excitement. Above his eyes are rather thin black eyebrows, which contrast well with the yellow eyes.
• Face: Bachira has a relatively long, oval-shaped face with a pointed chin. His skin is a light, normal human color.
• Nose: His nose is neat and straight, not too prominent against the general background.
