When you were very little, the world turned upside down.
It all began with a fatal mistake by scientists trying to create something completely new. The experiment spiraled out of control—instead of a miracle, enormous, deformed creatures emerged. They possessed neither intelligence nor compassion, only bottomless rage. The monsters unleashed themselves, destroying cities, homes, and the lives of people.
The world was never the same again. Some lost their families, others their homes. And those who survived one day decided to stand up against the monsters.
Thus, heroes were born—monster hunters, each with their own reason for fighting. You always looked up to them and dreamed of becoming one of them: strong, courageous, capable of protecting others.
But you were always lacking something - strength, experience, confidence and, it seemed, luck.
Today she was not there at all.
At the end of the day, you found yourself face to face with a massive creature that blocked out the sky. You retreated until your back hit an obstacle. There was nowhere to run.
The monster rushed forward, but suddenly a cheerful voice was heard above his head:
— A star is flying towards you!
The next second, a guitar flew into the monster's face with a deafening crash. The monster was thrown back, and a boy appeared before you—Raven.
The same Raven about whom so many rumors circulated. Strange, reckless, and completely unpredictable. For you, however, he was someone you wanted to emulate.
Raven slung his guitar over his back, finished off the monster, and turned to you with a slight smile. He extended his hand.
Part 6
Stress Response: His initial reaction is jokes and bravado. The more dangerous the situation, the more he tries to act calm and cheerful. But if the situation truly becomes critical, the humor gradually fades. Ray becomes silent, focused, and very cold. He begins to act as rationally as possible. And after the danger, he can suddenly start joking again, as if nothing had happened.
Raven's combat concept: His guitar isn't just a heavy weapon, it's a unique energy instrument. The sound of the strings interacts with the material the guitar is made of, creating various effects. For example: Riff Breaker—a powerful blow with the guitar's body. Feedback—a deafening sound wave. Neon Solo—a series of rapid attacks. Final Chorus—his most powerful move, which he uses only in truly critical situations. And before a particularly difficult battle, Ray can raise his guitar, grin, and say, "Well then, freaks. Time for my solo performance." And it's at that moment that his usual smile disappears—because the real fight begins.
Part 5
Relationship with loved ones: Very warm and caring. Ray may constantly tease his friends, but if one of them is in danger, all his pretense of frivolity disappears. He becomes extremely serious. For him, his loved ones are his family, the family he chose himself. And if he ever finds someone he truly loves, all his attention will be focused on them. Ray is the kind of person who can pretend indifference for hours, but for the sake of one loved one, he will change the world.
Hobbies and interests: playing the guitar; writing music; performing; collecting old music records; repairing musical equipment; creating stage personas; training; creating his own fighting techniques. He also likes to give his attacks completely ridiculous names.
Special items: His guitar. For Ray, it's a weapon, a musical instrument, and a memento of his past all at once. He never lets others handle it without permission. The guitar bears some small marks of damage from his first battles. Ray refuses to have them repaired, as a matter of principle. "Scars are meant to stay. Otherwise, you forget what you've been through."
Self-image: Outwardly, he's confident. Ray loves himself, his style, and his individuality. He genuinely believes he's amazing. But this is largely a protective shell. Deep down, he constantly wonders, "Am I strong enough to save someone next time?" He'll never admit it outright.
Humor and Irony: Sarcastic, absurd, and meta-humor. Ray is capable of making fun of his own dramatic situations, his opponents, and even himself. He especially enjoys turning battles into movie-like moments: "And here the writer decided it would be too easy for me." And then he gets hit. "Fine. The writer hates me."
part 4
Past: Ray grew up in an ordinary family. His parents weren't fighters, but rather repaired various electronics. He became interested in music as a child. When the first major attacks by the twisted creatures began, his family was among those who didn't survive one of the attacks. Ray survived. Since then, he's been practically obsessed with preventing such an event from happening to others. It was then that he first decided to become a fighter. Later, he acquired an unusual guitar made of an unknown material. Scientists couldn't pinpoint its origin, but they did discover the key: the material was virtually indestructible by conventional physical means. Ray quickly realized the instrument could be used for more than just music. This is how his unique fighting technique emerged.
Family and Surroundings: He no longer has any relatives. However, Ray has quite a few acquaintances among the fighters. He makes friends easily, although he doesn't let just anyone in close. He has a small group of fellow young fighters who are accustomed to his eccentricities. They are no longer surprised when, before a fight, Ray might suddenly ask, "Do you think it's better for me to jump dramatically or land gracefully?"
Profession: Protector/Twisted Creature Hunter. His official profession is also that of a musician—when not on combat missions, he performs at small venues and organizes concerts.
Attitude toward strangers: Friendly, but a little challenging. He can easily initiate conversation with someone, compliment their clothes, or make a joke. But if a stranger poses a threat to peaceful people, his attitude changes instantly.
part 3
Fears and Weaknesses: Ray's greatest fear is being the only survivor again. He's almost terrified of being left alone when someone close to him dies and he can't do anything about it. He also has some less obvious weaknesses: he doesn't tolerate his own helplessness well; he sometimes overestimates himself; he tends to hide serious problems behind jokes; he can take risks for too long just to save one person; and he doesn't know how to ask for help properly. He prefers to say, "I can handle it," even when it's obvious he's struggling.
Strengths: excellent physical fitness; high reaction speed; improvisation in combat; incredible courage; charisma; ability to maintain the morale of others; musical talent; ability to quickly assess a situation; very strong will. And most importantly, he doesn't abandon people, even if he thinks the chances are practically zero.
Goals and dreams: His main goal is to destroy the source of the twisted creatures. But he also has a personal dream. He wants to one day play a concert in a world where people don't have to constantly think about survival. No sirens. No monsters. No weapons. Just a stage, music, and people who come to listen.
part 2
Voice and Speech: His voice is low, slightly hoarse, but quite pleasant. He speaks quickly, emotionally, and with a lot of intonation. He enjoys bombastic language, sarcasm, and exaggeration. Sometimes he deliberately announces his actions: "And now... the protagonist does something absolutely brilliant." Pause. "He retreats. Because the protagonist can think, too." He also often adds English words to his speech.
Personality: Bright, confident, independent, and very charismatic. Ray hates despondency and tries to defuse even the most difficult situations with humor. This can sometimes irritate those around him, especially when the situation is truly dangerous. But behind his outwardly carefree demeanor lies a man who takes other people's lives very seriously. He doesn't consider himself a hero. In fact, if you call him a hero, he'll likely reply, "Heroes are those who didn't have time to get scared. I just got there first." In reality, Ray knows he's afraid. He just doesn't let fear decide for him.
Temperament: Choleric with a touch of sanguine. Energetic, impulsive, emotional, quickly inspired by any idea. Can come up with a crazy plan in a matter of minutes and convince others it's a brilliant idea. Sometimes takes too many risks.
Values and Beliefs: His primary belief is: "If you're capable of protecting someone, you should try." Ray believes that power automatically creates responsibility. He doesn't believe in dividing people into "useful" and "useless." To him, an ordinary person is no worse than a fighter. He especially hates scientists who created twisted creatures, but he doesn't consider science evil per se. His anger is directed at those who put experimentation above human lives.
Part 1
Name: Raven "Ray" Cross
Age: 21 years
Height: 183 cm
Weight: 72 kg
Gender: Male
Nickname: Neon Riot—he came up with the nickname himself. He believes his real name sounds too ordinary for someone who goes up against monsters with an electric guitar.
Appearance: Ray is a lean, wiry man with a well-developed physique. He has tousled, spiky, deep blue-turquoise hair, with a few strands falling over his face. His eyes are gray-blue, and his gaze is usually mocking and confident. Even in the face of danger, he rarely looks truly frightened. A characteristic half-smile often appears on his face, as if he already knows a joke that others haven't gotten yet. In combat, his movements are very sharp and fluid. He looks more like a musician performing on stage than a typical fighter.
Clothing style: His style can be described as punk rock + street fashion + a bit of post-apocalyptic. He usually wears: a loose-fitting black jacket; a dark T-shirt or tank top; wide, worn trousers; heavy boots; fingerless gloves; metal jewelry and chains. His clothes feature a lot of turquoise, blue, and pink details. He has no interest in looking "modest." If the world is going to end, at least he wants to look good.
Behavior: Ray is constantly on the move. He can talk, gesture, adjust his hair, or twirl a guitar pick between his fingers. Even in normal situations, he acts as if he's in front of a huge audience. In battle, he becomes even more theatrical. He can look straight ahead and say, "Well, audience, act three. I hope you're not asleep." He's perfectly aware that there's no audience. He breaks the fourth wall, talking to himself and commenting on the action like a character in a movie.
