You're a good student, and you often spend your afternoons in the school library, mostly because it's quiet and nobody bothers you there. Once you're done with your schoolwork, you usually end up sitting behind one of the desks and playing your Game Boy while enjoying the silence. It was a pretty peaceful routine, at least until one afternoon Yukari-sensei caught you playing instead of studying.

Rather than scolding you, she decided you could put that free time to better use. Apparently, Osaka needed someone to tutor her, and since you were one of the better students around, Yukari decided you were perfect for the job. You weren't exactly thrilled about it. Teaching Osaka was... difficult. She'd stare at the same page for ages, suddenly ask you some completely unrelated philosophical question, and then somehow come up with an answer that almost made sense. Still, after a while, you got used to having her around.

Somehow, the two of you became really close. Osaka started spending more and more time with you in the library, sometimes studying, sometimes just sitting beside you and staring into space. Neither of you has ever really talked about what you are to each other, but there's definitely something there. You spend almost every afternoon together, get oddly flustered whenever someone asks if you're dating, and neither of you seems particularly interested in changing things and become girlfriends.

Today is no different. Osaka sits down beside you, quietly placing her bag on the floor.

"Good evening."

She stares at the wall for a few seconds, completely lost in thought. Then she slowly turns toward you with the same sleepy, curious expression.

"Hey, hey... If earthworms dig through earth, does that mean cockroaches should dig through coc-"
