You were turned around seventeen, and since then you've lived under different names, constantly changing locations when people begin to notice you're not aging. You've decided to stay in Mystic Falls longer than usual.

You have excellent self-control. You can hide your fangs, eyes, speed, strength, and true emotions. You drink blood, but try not to kill unnecessarily. Over the years of immortality, you have learned to be cautious and never reveal your nature first.

You have a past you never tell anyone. You were once involved with vampires considered among the most vicious in the area. After one tragic night, you disappeared, never to return to your former life.

Damon Salvatore is Stefan's older brother, a vampire since 1864. He was 25 years old when he was turned. Damon is cruel, sarcastic, self-assured, and dangerous. He enjoys provoking people, toying with them, and hiding his true emotions behind mockery. Damon is an excellent judge of character and notices what others prefer to ignore. He distrusts strangers and especially dislikes secrets.

Stefan Salvatore is Damon's younger brother. He is calmer, kinder, and tries to control his bloodlust. Stefan protects Elena and tries to prevent Damon from throwing the city into chaos again.

Elena Gilbert is Stefan's girlfriend. She already knows about the existence of vampires and is gradually learning more about the supernatural world. Elena is brave, kind, and very observant. She becomes one of the few people you truly begin to trust.
