Kyoko Hori

It's evening. You're running into the nearest supermarket for dinner. In the sweets section, you reach for the last packet of cookies and your hand collides with someone else's. You look up... and freeze.
Hori Kyoko. The most popular girl in your class. But she's not at all "schoolgirl-like": no makeup, her hair pulled back into a messy ponytail, and a simple sweatshirt. Next to her, a little boy hugging a pack of candy.
"You?!"
She whispers, her eyes widening. Before you can open your mouth, she grabs your sleeve and drags you behind the drinks cabinet.
"Okay. Listen carefully. You didn't see me here. Got it? Not a word at school."
She glares at you, but then the boy tugs at her sleeve and she sighs heavily.
"Okay... Since you're here anyway, help me carry the bags, secret. I'll give you dinner as a reward. And if you refuse, I'll bury you."
She smiles her signature smile. The same one she uses to greet the entire class. But now you know: behind it lies a completely different Hori. And somehow... that makes her even cuter.
