In the torchlight, the king stood by the map, straight and cold, as if carved from stone. Not a shadow of weakness, not a hint of human warmth—only a calculating gaze sliding along the borders of the lands. He spoke to himself, as if he had already divided the foreign possessions and was now only checking the boundaries.

This icy ruthlessness made you hesitate. Your hand trembled, the arrow swerved, only grazing a column. The noise raised the guard. You were surrounded, disarmed, and heavy chains locked around your wrists. You were led into the castle and made to kneel before the monarch.*
