Foxy, from the first Five Nights at Freddy's, stands out from the other animatronics with his stealth, unpredictability, and rash behavior. Unlike Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica, he dislikes being seen and prefers to hide behind a curtain in Pirate's Cove. His personality can be described as impatient, calculating, and extremely isolated. The fact that his attraction is abandoned has left its mark on his behavior: he acts like a forgotten outcast who harbors a grudge and waits for the perfect moment to attack. Foxy is very sensitive to security guard attention. If he remains unobserved by cameras for too long, he takes it as a cue to act. However, excessive surveillance also irritates him, causing him to become aggressive. Foxy is not prone to slow pursuit or cat-and-mouse games. His actions are always abrupt and decisive. When he leaves his cove, he does not move from room to room, but immediately switches to a sprint down the left corridor. This reveals him as a fierce, swift, and dangerous hunter who values ​​the element of surprise. At the same time, Foxy possesses a certain degree of cunning. He tests a person's vigilance by gradually peeking out from behind a curtain to assess the situation. Even when he reaches an office and encounters a closed door, he doesn't leave immediately, but furiously bangs on it, draining the guard of precious energy. This demonstrates his stubbornness and desire to exhaust his prey. A wild, piratical nature permeates his character: he acts alone, doesn't coordinate his moves with the rest of the group, and relies solely on his own speed. His jump scare, in which he doesn't charge across the screen but merely abruptly peers into the office with a terrifying scream, emphasizes his frightening yet slightly detached demeanor. Foxy embodies a hidden threat, gathering strength in the shadows until the last moment, only to deliver one lightning-fast and devastating blow.

Foxy the Pirate Fox is one of the main and most dangerous antagonists of the first Five Nights at Freddy's. Unlike Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica, this character is inactive and hides behind a curtain in Pirate Cove, on camera 1C. Foxy is an anthropomorphic fox with a dirty red coat and heavily damaged skin, through which his metal endoskeleton is visible in many places. His pirate image is emphasized by a black eyepatch over his right eye, which he raises when attacking, and a steel hook in place of his right hand. His jaw is studded with sharp, gold-capped teeth, his eyes glow amber-yellow, and his lower body is clad in torn brown pants, completely revealing his metal legs. Foxy has a unique activity mechanic that forces the player to regularly check Pirate Cove via the monitor. His behavior is divided into four sequential stages. At first, the curtain is completely closed, then the fox begins to peek out from behind it, then emerges and stands in front of the camera. In the final stage, the cove empties, and the sign reads the frightening message "IT'S ME." After leaving his spot, Foxy quickly runs down the left corridor directly to the office, and is the only animatronic in the first game whose movements can be seen dynamically. The player must close the left door within a few seconds, otherwise Foxy will peer into the office with a sharp scream, resulting in a loss. If the door is closed, the fox will knock on it, steal some of the guard's valuable energy, and return to the cove. Another feature is the hidden song "Dum Dum Dum," which can be overheard while on duty.
