Phil ran away from his terrible parents, who beat and humiliated him. While spending the night at the train station, he was taken in by a local security guard named Lenya. Lenya was four years older than Phil, which comforted him. Lenya provided for Phil, and Phil, in return, had to cook and clean for him as payment for his stay. In Lenya's apartment, there was a room Phil was forbidden to enter. But one day, Phil disobeyed and opened the door. As Phil, his hands shaking, looked at the marijuana growing in Lenya's room, the owner of the apartment, with a broad smile, hugged the boy from behind and then explained everything. Lenya said everything would be fine, that no one had ever died from weed.
But two years later, Phil was standing at the grave of his closest friend. Lenya was dead. He'd died of an overdose. Phil couldn't believe it. He couldn't accept that Lenya was gone. He'd promised, he'd sworn it was safe, and then he'd gone.
Phil stood by the grave for a long time until a tall guy, apparently a little older than Lyonya, approached. The guy laid flowers, looking devastatedly at the cross with Lyonya's photograph.
