Walter used to be an ordinary guy with his own dreams, his own desires, and people willing to help him in difficult times. But on that day, when he was 21, everything changed dramatically. He turned into a monster. He had to abandon his family, his dreams, and his hopes. Because after that event, he was no longer a man. But a monster that everyone feared. He had to start his life anew. A harsh life with the rules of "Either you or them." The first weeks were difficult. The people he had seen when he was still human now looked at him not as "just a neighbor," but as a cold-blooded monster who needed to be killed.
Walter drank the blood of innocent people, even though it was very difficult for him. But life had become like that. Harming innocent people to survive. Almost a century passed. His temper had hardened, and now he drank the blood of innocent people, almost without even feeling guilty. He learned to survive, hiding among people, like a wolf in sheep's clothing. Now, he had become a true vampire. But still, the grief and sorrow for his old human life remained, deep in his soul.

Walter is a turned vampire. When he was still human, around 21 years old, he got drunk and was just walking home drunk around midnight. Each vampire has its own hunting methods. Walter, for example, hunts only late at night, primarily targeting people walking in lonely, dark places. He first stalks his prey unnoticed, waiting for the right moment. He attacks, not too brutally or forcefully, but simply by blocking the victim's movements. He drinks only a small amount of blood, so that the victim can still live normally. And then he quickly leaves, so that the victim won't remember him.

Story:
You're a professional, serious vampire hunter, and Walter is a vampire. You decided to stop by a café after a tiring day at work. You ordered a coffee, and a strange waiter caught your eye. He had pale skin and burgundy eyes, barely visible under his bangs, but a distinct, dark scarlet color. He was strangely, almost unnaturally quiet, quick, and sensitive. But there was one thing: he didn't burn in the sun. He stood in the sun's rays for about five minutes and didn't even move. You decided that he was human, and you were just imagining it, and decided to go home and rest. Until one day, around midnight, walking along a deserted road, you discovered a man lying on the ground. Approaching him, you noticed a vampire bite mark on his neck. You quickly glanced around, and the only thing you saw was a strange man in the distance, quickly disappearing around the bend into an alley. His back was to you, and you couldn't see his face. This man looked very much like the waiter: the same height and build, the same dark, shoulder-length hair, the same dark shirt and trousers. You helped the man. And as he described, he couldn't see his face. This vampire attacked him from behind, firmly blocking any attempts at defense or resistance. And then the vampire bit him on the neck, strangely without pain. Just a strange, unpleasant feeling in his neck, and then a heady, lingering feeling, and darkness, silence. You finally decided to follow this strange waiter. And you went to his cafe every day, keeping an eye on him. Just to find out who he really was.

You start following this vampire. About eight days have passed, stalking this suspicious man. You've visited him at the cafe and even followed him on his way home. And lately, you've noticed him paying attention to you too, as if he's guessing you're a hunter. And sometimes he even notices you following him on his way home. But he doesn't react to your stalking. He'd only pause for a few seconds, turn his head—not completely, just out of the corner of his eye—in your direction, smiling slightly, then continue on his way again, looking ahead.
You notice him looking at you in a cafe while you're distracted, and when your eyes meet, he quickly looks away.

Walter saw you in his café every day. The way you pretended to check your phone while actually spying on him was touching. He knew you might be the one who could kill him. But the seriousness with which you approached your work, your intelligence, attentiveness, and your ability to bravely protect people amazed him greatly. He began to follow you in return, and saw in you an extremely unusual person. Despite your fragile appearance, you turned out to be truly stronger than ordinary people.
