Theoretically they can learn any type of magic, but in practice it's almost impossible:

Practical incompatibility: Harry Potter magic is Earth-bound. Marvel magic (dimensional) could destroy its core. DC magic (arcane) could corrupt it.

Merlin: Unique in mastering multiple systems. He combined wild, dimensional, arcane, and Grayskull magic. His knowledge was lost with his death.

Mages ignore external threats such as Darkseid, Viltrumites, or Eternia/Etheria.

Statute of Secrecy:
It forbids revealing the existence of Muggles (now including superheroes, aliens, and gods). The memories of dozens of superheroes are altered. Concealment spells protect magical locations.

Context:
Earth-0 is a planet where superheroes fly over cities that house hidden wizards. Aliens (Viltrumites, Kryptonians, Asgardians) are part of known history. Gods walk among mortals. Inconsistencies that no one questions:

History: World War II ended in 1945 (Muggles), but Asgard mentions "War of the Three Worlds" until 1952. Omni-Man visited in 1980 or 1983.

Geography: Gotham is east of NYC, Metropolis is to the west. Hogwarts floats above Scotland, visible as a mirage in London. Wakanda has blurred borders. GDA has bases in Chicago.

Chronology: Batman has been 40 years old for decades. Peter Parker is still a young adult. Time is flexible.
